Chapter 122 - Chapter 122: Go, Sister Aya! I'm really looking forward to your work!

"If you trust me, I can create a suitable gown for myself right here, and I think there's still enough time."

Aya's words stunned the surrounding staff and nearby models who had gathered to see what was happening.

Create a gown on the spot? In such a short time? And make it match the Starry Light?

"This... this is too reckless, isn't it?"

The slightly plump stylist instinctively objected, her face clearly flushed with anger. In her eyes, even if Aya were a true seamstress, suggesting such a thing trivialized the art of fashion design.

However, sensing Aya wasn't joking and considering the potential for future collaborations, she restrained herself from snapping and patiently explained:

"Miss Aya, you may be an excellent seamstress, but garment design involves far more than just needlework.

"Creating a haute couture gown requires repeated pattern-making, cutting, sewing, and adjustments. How could all that be accomplished in just a few hours?"

"Exactly, Miss Aya! This isn't just a matter of quick repairs..."

The glasses-wearing female show director wore a troubled expression. In her view, Aya was being overly confident. While securing the opportunity to wear the Starry Light was indeed rare, she couldn't just throw caution to the wind.

Meanwhile, the bullet comments erupted with fervent debate:

[Seamstress?! Aya's actually a seamstress?! That doesn't quite match her image, does it?]

[Why not? Seamstresses need nimble hands and a sharp eye—exactly what Sister Aya embodies!]

[Not just a seamstress—judging by her tone, she can even design clothes! She's a complete all-around fashion designer!]

[So cool! Artisans reign supreme!]

[Oh my god! This plot twist! Sister Aya, how many more surprises do you have up your sleeve?!]

[Impossible... Even a professional haute couture team would take ages to craft a dress like this. How can she do it live, alone, and make it worthy of the Starry Light?!]

[Hold your horses, people! Look at the confidence in Sister Aya's eyes! I believe in her!]

[Even though we can't see Cifera, Sister Aya's appearance has made this show exciting again!]

Just then, the dressing room door opened, and Lu Yue emerged, having changed into a dark evening gown with a sharp, tailored silhouette that was noticeably more sophisticated than the other models' attire. The dress accentuated his tall, slender figure and voluptuous curves while retaining his own distinctively dashing, androgynous aura.

With lightning-fast reflexes, the Director instantly switched to a glamour shot-worthy entrance angle.

The bullet comments exploded again:

[Holy shit! Little Grandchild's crossdressing is... divine! Is this actually Lu Yue herself?!]

[That height! That aura! That figure! This crossdressing master is terrifyingly top-tier!]

[This gown is perfect! I can already picture the Starry Light tiara on it—absolutely stunning!]

[I'm done for. Little Grandchild's gonna make me gay... slurp~!]

[Wake up! It's all a disguise! If you want to slurp, go find photos of the real Lu Yue and slurp over those!]

As Lu Yue stepped out of the dressing room, his towering presence instantly making him the center of attention, his gaze immediately fell on "Aya," surrounded by staff members, apparently encountering some trouble.

Lu Yue's heart tightened, not out of genuine concern for "Aya," but out of fear that she might expose his true identity by doing something reckless behind his back. He immediately strode over, ignoring the models who had gathered to compliment him.

"What's wrong?" Lu Yue asked, his voice tinged with feigned concern.

Lu Yue's sudden intrusion stopped Cifera, who had been about to persuade the staff. She knew that once Little Grandchild understood the situation, he would definitely "help" her plead her case.

The Show Director, though momentarily flustered by Lu Yue's arrival, realized she couldn't hide her plan to pit Aya against Lu Yue for the chance to wear the Starry Light necklace. She honestly explained the entire situation.

Besides, Lu Yue seemed to be good friends with Aya. He probably wouldn't be angry and might even persuade Aya to stop making trouble.

Lu Yue had already anticipated Starry's plan to replace him with Aya as the center of attention, only to discover the clothing didn't fit. What he hadn't expected was Aya's audacity to demand a custom-made gown on the spot.

This is going to be fun!

His inner self erupted with glee:

Ha ha ha! This woman is hilarious!

With your height, it's perfectly normal not to have clothes that fit properly for the runway.

What's wrong? Can't handle losing? Now you're going to force a dress to be made on the spot?

What kind of joke is this?!

What decent garment can you possibly make in such a short time? Think you can steal the spotlight from me? Dream on!

The Starry Light is mine—and I'm going to steal it if I have to!

Lu Yue suppressed his inner glee, plastering a "generous" and "supportive" expression on his face as he addressed the staff:

"I must say, you have excellent taste. Although I'm currently designated to wear the Starry Light, I truly believe Sister Aya's aura perfectly complements it!

"If possible, I'd like to propose a fair competition with Sister Aya for the right to wear the Starry Light.

"I'm sure Sister Aya feels the same way!

"Therefore, I urge you all to respect Sister Aya's choice. Don't you think her proposal shows remarkable courage?

"Why not let her try?

"As models, we sometimes need to break conventions and embrace innovation. Since Sister Aya claims to be a skilled tailor and is confident she can create a stunning gown in such a short time, I choose to trust her craftsmanship!"

With that, Lu Yue turned to "Aya" and gave her an encouraging smile:

"Go for it, Sister Aya! I'm really looking forward to your creation!"

Hearing Lu Yue's words, Cifera inwardly smirked.

Just as I expected, she thought. He's going to vouch for me.

Little Grandchild is so naive—his intentions are too obvious.

As she mused, Cifera wore a grateful expression, nodding gently yet confidently.

"Thank you for your understanding, Sister Lu Yue. If I get the chance, I'll definitely do my best. I won't let you down."

Their exchange ignited a fresh wave of discussion in the Bullet Comments:

[Little Grandchild actually supporting Aya?! Has the sun started rising in the west?!]

[Fake! Keep pretending! I can practically see him laughing his head off inside!]

[Holy shit! Little Grandchild's crossdressing skills are so advanced he's even playing palace intrigue like a pro! He's radiating green tea vibes!]

[On the surface: "Go get 'em, Sister Aya!" In his heart: "Crash and burn! Make a fool of yourself!"]

[Actually, I think Night Shadow's acting is pretty solid too. You guys only see through his act because you know his true motives.]

[Am I the only one who thinks Sister Aya looks completely unshaken? That confidence in her eyes isn't fake!]

[I'll bet five mao! Sister Aya is definitely a hidden fashion design genius!]
