Josh still hadn't recovered from the pain of being pierced by the scalpel.
The director had already picked up other tools and started torturing Code 7. Each tool he wielded skillfully, as if he had personally experienced such torture himself.
Code 7's face remained expressionless, clearly accustomed to this intensity of pain.
After each tool, the director would carefully glance at the data on the adjacent instrument.
Josh was sweating profusely from the pain, as if she had been fished out of water.
She could clearly sense that this wasn't her own pain; it was transmitted from Code 7's brainwaves. Her body was still intact, but this did not stop her from being tortured to the brink of fainting.
Code 7 accepted the torture calmly, not even letting out a sound.
Josh looked at the director: "Must...must it be done this way?"
The director looked deeply at her: "How do you think I turned from a cat into a human?"
Josh hadn't even begun to ponder when a new round of tools was used.
