I also know you're blaming me, but have you ever considered, if I hadn't agreed to work with them, they would still have found someone else to deal with you. But if it were me, at least they promised not to harm you."
Melody Thorne paused her hand briefly from packing, still not looking at Kiki. "Doesn't it strike you that it makes no difference if it's someone else, they would treat me the same way? The outcome would be the same anyway. But, Kiki, have you ever thought, I'd rather it wasn't you?"
She particularly minded being used, especially after her rebirth.
