"Arrest who?" A deep, magnetic voice sounded from outside the door, and a tall, upright figure walked in unhurriedly.
Jared Quinn returned and stood behind Melody Thorne, his dark phoenix eyes landing on the two soldiers.
"Mr. Quinn," the two immediately spoke up.
Upon seeing Jared Quinn arrive, Rochelle Thorne's expression involuntarily shifted. She had clearly watched this man walk out; why had he returned?
"She drugged my mom," Rochelle Thorne quickly spoke up, "Regardless of her identity, drugging someone is a serious crime, and she must be arrested."
Jared's gaze swept indifferently over Rochelle, an overwhelming coldness descending, his presence imposing.
Rochelle took a few steps back behind the two soldiers, feeling weak.
"Was it you who drugged me?" Mrs. Thorne struggled to get up from the hospital bed, her gaze at Melody Thorne full of disappointment.
