Jared Quinn's deep and cold gaze turned imperceptibly more dangerous as he sat down, placing his large hand on her back, the warmth in his palm somewhat scorching.
"President," Simon Sutton suddenly entered from outside.
"What's the matter?" Jared Quinn coldly questioned.
"N-nothing," Simon Sutton's eyelid twitched, but he was still forced to remind him, "There's a meeting this afternoon. Didn't you say you would take the young lady somewhere?"
"Where are you taking me?" Melody Thorne moved the large hand placed on her back and climbed up from the sofa.
Jared Quinn, not looking very pleased, stood up, "You'll know when we get there. Put on your shoes."
Melody Thorne looked at the man who suddenly changed his expression, unsure what she had done to provoke him again.
In a lavishly decorated bar, which should have been full, it was empty at the moment. This appeared to be one of Jared Quinn's bars, so it shouldn't be lacking patrons.
