Natalie Vaughn is tall and rarely wears high heels. Even when she does, the height is never more than five centimeters. Today, she made an exception and wore a taller pair to match her dress.
She wasn't very adept at walking in them, but she wasn't in a hurry, moving slowly with an air of laziness, swaying gracefully as she went.
However, something that unsettled Natalie was how dark the corridor leading to the restroom was, especially the section near the door.
Natalie furrowed her brows and glanced towards the door, vaguely perceiving some obstruction. Though puzzled, she didn't dwell on it. Zane Thorne would arrive soon, and she needed to quickly tidy up before meeting him.
As she entered the restroom, Natalie instinctively frowned. Something wasn't right.
Given the importance of this occasion and the guests in attendance, the corridor was unnecessarily dim, and the restroom, meant for guests to freshen up, was even darker.
