Zane watched Natalie with great interest, noticing the smile on her lips. Her ability to change expressions was unmatched—earlier she was so proud and arrogant, but now she looked so obedient and compliant.
The man raised his brows slightly, leaned down, and met Natalie's gaze.
"What if it hurts?"
Natalie seemed unprepared for Zane to respond this way. Back when he took a hit for her, he didn't even flinch.
"Then move your foot and I'll take a look."
After saying that, Natalie paused for a moment, then glanced at Zane's hand on the door.
"Or maybe, also move your hand."
Hearing this, Zane chuckled lightly. This little woman always had quite the imagination. Did she think he would just move his foot and hand so she could immediately lock him out on the balcony? Was she taking him for a fool?
