Only when the little guy spoke did Summer Shawcross recall what he said while crying earlier, and it turned out to be true.
"What about your dad?" she continued to ask.
Upon hearing her mention his dad, the little fellow suddenly lowered his head, his face full of disappointment and grievance as he said.
"My dad doesn't like me."
He's not sure what he did wrong, but no matter what he does, his dad always wears a stern face and rarely comes to see him.
After the little guy finished speaking, Summer paused for a moment and then couldn't help but ask in confusion.
"Why would you say that?"
She was surprised that such a young child could say something like that.
"He doesn't smile at me or spend time with me..." the little fellow said, showing a sad expression.
Seeing the little guy's sad look, Summer's heart softened. She couldn't help but reach out, ruffling his little head and gently comforting him.
