Summer Shawcross dropped both the box and the phone from her hands in fright, collapsing to the floor with legs like jelly.
Her already fair face was now deathly pale, drained of any color, filled with an expression of terror...
She clutched her chest with one hand, trying hard to steady her breath.
After a long while, she slowly turned her head again, her face still etched with horror, looking back at the box she had thrown away.
A bloody severed hand had already fallen out of the box.
Summer's heart tightened once more, and she quickly covered her mouth, still shaken.
She could never have imagined that the box would contain something so frightening!
If she had a heart condition, she thought she would have been done for by now...
Just as Summer was still in shock, someone suddenly knocked on the door from outside.
