Summer Shawcross reached out and took the box, then opened it. Inside lay a perfectly preserved violin.
On the body of the violin, her name was engraved...
Summer stretched out her hand, gently caressing the violin, and her eyes grew a bit red.
After a moment, she sniffed, closed the box again, and hugged it to her chest.
"I thought you would have destroyed it by now." She looked up, a little surprised, at Wendy Linden.
They had been at odds since childhood, opposing each other in everything. So she had thought the violin would have been destroyed, not expecting Wendy had preserved it so well.
Being asked like this, Wendy awkwardly rolled her eyes at Summer, then turned her head and said.
"Even though I dislike you, there's no need to ruin things."
Summer smiled and couldn't help but say thank you.
"Thank you."
Her sudden thanks made Wendy furrow her brow, suddenly feeling a bit uncomfortable.
