Hearing the gradually approaching sound, Noah Drexler couldn't help but furrow his brows.
He didn't like others getting too close to him.
Just as he opened his eyes, ready to lose his temper, a soft voice sounded by his ear.
"Did I disturb you?" Seeing him suddenly open his eyes with a less-than-pleasant expression, Summer Shawcross couldn't help but hesitate.
Noah Drexler's expression froze for a moment, and two seconds later, the displeasure on his face quickly faded away.
He lifted his hand, and as she walked up to him, he wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her directly onto his lap as he habitually did.
Summer paused for a moment, shifting slightly with some discomfort, then turned her head to glance at the direction of the office door, speaking with concern.
"I should sit beside you, just in case someone comes in later; it wouldn't look good."
