"Bet?" Noah Drexler frowned, asking with concern.
"Yeah... whoever gets the higher bid wins." Summer Shawcross nodded, answering truthfully, though thinking about the fifty million he bid at the end today made her feel a bit of heartache.
She didn't know why it turned out this way. Obviously, at first, she thought Noah's bidding was too shrewd and low, but when he suddenly bid fifty million, it hurt her to think about the money.
Thinking of this, Summer couldn't help but curl her lips, muttering softly.
"Actually, you didn't have to spend that fifty million." That way, she could trick Dustin Hughes out of some money!
As soon as she spoke, Noah's face darkened in the shadows.
"You want that Hughes guy to win?" His deep voice carried a few traces of suppressed anger.
Did she want that Hughes guy to successfully bid for her piece?
"Yeah, then we would have saved a lot of money!" Summer nodded.
