During the colonial period, Morelia was a famous center of culture and art, with many streets, squares, palaces, churches, aqueducts, and bridges in the city still retaining the architectural style of the colonial era to this day.
This has made Morelia a popular tourist destination for many local Mexicans, whereas there are relatively fewer foreign tourists.
In the early morning.
Morelia was as lively as usual.
People were buying groceries, having breakfast, and getting ready for work.
It seemed so peaceful.
But then suddenly, a loud bang shattered the long-standing tranquility.
Everyone turned abruptly in the direction of the sound.
A reddish-brown flash of fire, carrying a mushroom cloud, rose into the stormy skies.
The scene was almost identical to a nuclear explosion in films!
Suddenly, the city became noisy.
"What happened?"
"What's going on over there?"
"It seems like a nuclear explosion, what's going on? Could it be our country testing a nuclear weapon?"
