Sienna Thornton raised her eyebrows and glanced at him, then turned to Maeve and the others, saying, "Don't listen to his nonsense. Before I left home this afternoon, he was complaining that I'm ugly!"
Maeve didn't react, but the agent, sharp-eyed and sensing the awkward atmosphere, quickly added with a smile, "Mr. Forrester was just speaking in reverse! The more a man complains, the more he likes you deep down! They also love seeing women get jealous over them!"
Sienna Thornton looked at Simon Forrester and smiled, "Is that true?"
Simon Forrester laughed silently, removed the strawberry's stem, placed it in Sienna Thornton's plate, and said softly, "Have some strawberries, you haven't had any fruit today."
Then he turned to the agent, his voice full of helplessness, "She's never dated before, naive as can be, making me feel like I'm punching cotton all the time."
Sienna Thornton picked up a strawberry, ready to eat, puzzled, "What does punching cotton mean?"
