On the first day at the Ji Family, he lost his mother, lost his happiness, and came to know darkness and fear.
Little Ji Hanyu was clamoring to find his mother at the time, but no one in the Ji Family cared for him, because Old Mrs. Ji had locked him in a dark room.
Whenever he stopped fussing and was willing to stay obediently, he would be given food and water.
From a young age, Ji Hanyu was a tough bone, staying in that dark room for more than three days.
He was so hungry at the time that he fainted on the ground, and it was his elder brother Ji Chenyan who secretly brought him food.
Ji Chenyan was only a few years older than Ji Hanyu at the time, yet he comforted and encouraged Ji Hanyu like a little adult.
Ji Chenyan was the first person in the Ji Family to be kind to Ji Hanyu and the only person Ji Hanyu respected.
But he was barely there for a few days when Old Mrs. Ji had him sent off to that base.
In that hell-like place, Ji Hanyu stayed for fifteen years.
