Chapter 28 - Hello there fine huzz

AN: Took a while, had a busy week and didn't write. I'm so excited for February, I'll finally have some vacation.

(Pov: Narration)

The city was bristling with energy, the noise of Daily life resounding through the streets. Cars were honking and Engines were roaring, as everyone hurried to their respective Jobs. Small food places were serving breakfast and coffee, and chatter and small talk reverberated through the city as it rose to activity.

The day was warm, filled with Sunshine casting long shadows and the sky devoid of clouds. Everything seemed normal... until one paid attention to a special part of the city.

UA.

The famous Hero Academy's front gates were wide open, allowing their students entry. The students were excited, but nervousness clearly underlined their gait as many could be seen frequently turning their head back to the entrance they had come from.

There, at the entrance of UA, flashes of light illuminated the students and staff members and voices resonated, cornering the students with questions.

"Excuse me! What lessons does All Might teach?"

"Lend us some thought about how it is like to have All Might as a teacher at UA!"

"What do you think about All Might's teaching?"

Microphones were shoved towards students faces as each and everyone was asked questions, all revolving around the same topic, namely All Might's presence in UA.

The students, not used to such attention, reacted in a variety of ways. Some recoiled and deflected. Some answered the questions with all honesty they could muster. Others ignored them. However, next to no student went unasked, the Reporters not leaving any chance to lose a bit of information they could capitalize upon.

And that included the large white-skinned Mutant and his bird-headed friend.

"Excuse me! Tell us a bit about your experience at UA, with Mutant type Quirks! Does All Might's teachings factor in those traits? "

And with that simple phrase, the Microphone and the reporters hopeful gaze settled on Riku Shindai and Fumikage Tokoyami.

Fumikage's expression scrunched up a bit. '...my Quirk isn't even Mutant. It's emitter.'

He did not say anything and simply looked towards Riku who seemed a bit surprised at the question, thinking about whether to answer. Then, he grinned and surprisingly enough, talked.

"I TSUM YAS TAHT LLA TGHIM YLURT SI LANOITPECXE! EH SEIRRAC FLESMIH HTIW YTINGID DNA MSAISUHTNE, GNINETHGILNE SU TUOBA EHT HTAP NO WOH OT EMOCEB A OREH!"[1]

"..."

The reporters stares went blank at the mutant's gibberish, staring at the two students as though they were aliens. None of them, in fact not even Fumikage had understood what he said.

'...he's speaking gibberish on purpose.'

Riku's grin was wide and he nudged Fumikage's head with his elbow. His eye twitched but he played along.

"Indeed, well said my friend." He gave a thoughtful nod, ignoring the Reporters baffled expressions.

And with that, the two students entered through the gate.

-

(Pov: Tokoyami)

'It looks like nearly everyone is here.'

The classroom was buzzing with energy, with Students excitedly attempting to predict todays class. Both he and Riku received a few friendly waves and greetings, each which were answered with a nod.[2]

The two of them sat down on their respective places and simply waited for classes to begin.

And soon enough, Aizawa entered the room with a thick stack of documents which he unceremoniously plopped onto his desk.

"I took a look at your evaluations from yesterday's battle trial."

His tired but focused gaze scanned over the students before resting on Katsuki Bakugo.

"Bakugo. Stop acting like a toddler. You're wasting your own talent."

Tokoyami's eyes narrowed a bit at their teachers cold evalutation. His gaze locked onto Bakugo who sat in front, half-expecting him to react. But he found himself surprised as Bakugo clenched his fist at his side, his voice filled with restrained fury and frustration.

"...i know."

Aizawa did not linger and immediately moved onto the next. One by one, students shortcomings were addressed and everyone's reactions varied. Midoriya shrunk back, Todoroki...slightly lowered his head, Riku's wings twitched and his expression stiffened and Hagakure was... well, she was invisible.

Aizawa soon finished his rant. "Now, lets get on with Home room notices."

His serious gaze flew cross the room before he continued talking, his voice somber.

"I'm sorry to drop this on you all but..."

The air seemed to thicken and the atmosphere grew uneasy.

"We need to pick a class president."

'...thats it?!'

The thought was mirrored in every students head, until the excitement caught up. In a flash, Hands shot towards the ceiling and voices overlapped as virtually everyone volunteered for the position.[3]

This was UA. Having the title of Class President in Japan's most honored Hero school was a boon on a students resumé.

'Indeed, i shall not miss out on such endeavor!'

And yes, Tokoyami too was raising his arm. Although he refrained from jumping up like Kirishima.

Only very few hands did not shoot up, their interest or confidence lacking. Tokoyami turned around, and as expected, Riku was one of the few not raising his hand.

'I suppose that was to be expected.'

The students kept loudly talking, each one advertising themselves... until a loud cutting voice appeared, belonging to no one but Tenya Iida, who chastised those aiming for the position... his own hand nearly touching the ceiling with how high he was raising it. Despite that, his proposal of an election was sound and soon enough, everyone agreed on following through with it.

"...ESUCXE EM TUB I TONNAC ETIRW."

(...EXCUSE ME BUT I CANNOT WRITE.)

Tokoyami couldn't help but smirk at Riku's awkward statement and the silence following it.

-

The vote was finished... and nearly everyone had voted for themselves. The board at the front of the classroom featured nearly everyone's names with a single vote... with the exception of Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami with two votes each, and Midoriya who had three.

'Well, Riku just announced to give me his vote...'

"Alright then, Midoriya Izuku Class-president, and for vice-president, you two can settle it with Rock, paper, scissors or something." And with that, Aizawa holed up in his sleeping bag and closed his eyes.

'...I suppose i should concede. I did not earn this position.'

Tokoyami glanced at Yaoyorozu before speaking.

"The position is yours, Yaoyorozu. My second vote was earned through sympathy of my comrade."

Yaoyorozu just smiled politely and thus became the class's vice-president.

(Pov: Riku) (After class, lunch break)

'Now... to find me a nice corner...'

Riku was currently balancing a tray filled to the brim with food on a single hand. He had just received his food from the Hero "Lunch Rush" and now needed to find himself a corner in which he could eat without destroying everyone's appetite. His physique did not make eating very nice to look at after all.

Fumi was standing next to him, patiently waiting for Riku to find such a seat. Having known him for such a long time, he was very well used to Riku's way of eating and long did not have any problem with it.

Soon enough, he located a small seat along the wall. The duo sat down and ate, silently observing the other students.

'Hmm, so these are our upperclassmen?'

Some people from the higher classes were eating as well, their demeanor relaxed and confident. It seemed like the Hero course had already taught them composure.

Riku kept eating, his Cursed Energy and mind drifting as he scanned the school grounds in a bored fashion.

'...?'

He froze. And Fumi noticed.

"Riku? Something is weighing on you."

Riku's wings twitched a bit as he remained focused on what he had just sensed. A presence inside the school.

"ENOEMOS SI GNIMAOR EHT NOITARTSINIMDA GNIDLIUB."

(SOMEONE IS ROAMING THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.)

Fumi froze a moment. He then immediately looked up to Riku who now stood, with his tail clearly lashing around.

The bird-headed boy's emotions surged as slight confusion and panic arose, but they were soon suppressed.

"If its someone from outside the school, we should tell a teacher."

Riku nodded, his Cursed Energy remaining focused on the presence. The emotional state of said presence was... not safe. Volatile. A constant Irritation poured out of the intruder but there was more to it. Anxiety, rage, irritation...

'This is not a Hero.... That has got to be a villain.'

For the first time of his Life, Riku had sensed a real Villain.

"EMOC."

(COME)

With that, he beckoned Fumi and headed towards the exit of the Cafetaria, intent on finding a teacher he could warn. And if he couldn't find anyone... he'd simply head there himself.

Just then, a sharp high-pitched wail ripped through the atmosphere, the siren's blaring jolting every student into attention and panic.

'The Siren's gone off. That's good i guess.'

Despite the thought, Riku couldn't help but grimace. The Siren's noise was more than just uncomfortable. It had somehow put all the students in a frenzy as everyone rushed out with panic on their faces-

'...And i said the upperclassman had composure???'

He and Fumikage followed the crowd and soon enough found himself stuck in the sea of students.

While Riku tried to push himself through the crowd of students without losing sight of the figure in the building, he noticed something.

'There are more... these are the reporters from before? Why are they here?'

A large presence of reporters had amassed itself by the windows and teachers had gathered there to rebuke them for trespassing and send them out.

'Shit, they haven't noticed the guy in the building!'

"Riku! There are reporters at the window!" Fumi's voice was slightly hoarse. "They might serve as distraction for whoever is in the administration building."

Riku just growled in answer as he pushed himself past a few students, his Cursed Energy still focused on the presence.

"EVERYBODY CALM DOWN!" A loud voice resonated through the Hallway, getting Riku's attention.

'Iida?'

"IT'S OKAY! IT'S JUST THE PRESS! THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT! YOU'RE AT UA, REFLECT THAT IN YOUR BEHAVIOR!"

Riku, internally thanking Lida for calming down the crowd, simply kept going, forcing his way through the crowd until finally getting free. He and Fumikage then sprinted towards the administrative building.

They were about to enter the building... when the presence suddenly vanished.

Riku skidded to a halt. 'Teleportation?'

"Riku? Where is the intruder?"

Fumikage spoke up urgently. But Riku just shook his head.

"EHT REDURTNI DERAEPPASID."

(THE INTRUDER DISAPPEARED.)

Fumikage went silent for a moment.

"Riku, we have to find a teacher. If the reporters were a distraction, then its likely the intruder was looking for something important."

'The presence was at around the teacher's lounge...'

He felt his wings twitch in irritation as he nodded. With that, Riku quickly scanned the grounds, soon locating a teachers presence in an empty classroom.

"Oi! What the hell? Do you kids don't know how to knock???" The teacher stood up, visibly irritated as the two students barged into his classroom. His anger, however, did not deter them and Fumikage spoke up.

"Sir, this is about the Siren-" The teacher waved his hand and interrupted him. "Those are just reporters, there is no point in worrying, now get out of here."

Riku felt himself getting slightly heated at the teachers abrasive comment, but his bird-headed friend simply continued. "My comrade here has a sensory Quirk. Someone was in the administrative building."

The teacher's emotions surged a bit, skepticism, confusion and light worry.

"A sensory Quirk? Someone entered the building? Where is he now?"

"ENOG. TSUJ DERAEPPASID."

(GONE. JUST DISAPPEARED.)

Again, more skepticism from the teachers part, but he shot Riku a look and stood up.

"Go back to your classes. I'll report this to the principal. Can you tell where exactly you sensed this intruder?"

Riku gave a nod, then a description on where he had sensed the presence. He gave a bit more details about what exactly he had sensed, and with that, he and Fumikage headed back to their class which was about to begin.

But as he walked, Riku couldn't help but remain on alert. His steps were quicker and his Cursed Energy was spread out thin, focused on covering a wider range. Next to him, Fumikage was deep in thought.

The press had managed to enter UA. And along with them, someone else. What that person had wanted or done was unknown, but it could not have been anything good.

Despite those thoughts, Riku's feelings weren't exactly anxiety or fear. In fact, calling it worry would be an overstatement.

He had already decided, that the next time he'd sense something like this, he'd hurry even more, breaking a few walls if he needed to. Because what was a wall compared to an intruder?

-

-

(Narration)

Riku Shindai and Fumikage Tokoyami returned to class, but neither of them paid any attention. There was a bit of a commotion, with students talking about the Reporters trespassing and Iida's actions to calm down the crowd of panicked students, but the duo hardly cared about that.

Tokoyami was mulling over the Powers of the worlds darkness, thinking about how sophisticated they must have become to be able to infiltrate in environments such as UA.

Shindai was mulling over the same topic, his interpretation opposite of that of his friend. He was thinking how incompetent a school had to be to miss someone entering the Administrative building and allow Reporters to trespass.

This was a Hero school. Basically the place in which Villains future enemies were being nurtured and taught. A place arguably more important... than literally anything in this world. And yet, UA had somehow allowed someone into their Administration... the place which had all kinds of important Documents a smart villain would love to have.

It was safe to say that Shindai's evaluation of UA had been drastically lowered. It looked like he'd have to become the school's security.

Despite Shindai's thoughts however, the school was not as inactive as he thought. The teacher Tokoyami had talked to, Vlad King, had approached the Principal about the intruder and that had resulted in an scouring for Camera footages.

The problem was, none of the cameras had been active. The teachers and principal were quick to come to a conclusion that some kind of Quirk or interference had to be the Source of the problem.

Instead, the administrative building was scoured for traces the intruder had perhaps left behind. But nothing had been taken. And one didn't need to be Genius to know what that meant.

"Information." The principal, Nezu took a sip of his tea. "Given the camera's black-out, the broken door and the lack of any stolen documents, the intruder must have come for information."

The Heroes around him only exchanged glaces, but no one interrupted him.

"Given that Riku Shindai, a student whose Quirk has a strong Sensory aspect, sensed him in the Building, this is not something we can just ignore. The student has no reason to lie about this after all and a villain attempting to infiltrate UA is not unexpected.

But despite that, we are training future Heroes and we cannot stop or put a halt to the classes because of such an interference. Classes will continue as planned, but i ask all of you to remain on Alert."

The Principals gaze shifted over to the large hulking figure of All Might.

"Especially, given that the chance is high the intruder attempted to gain information about the number 1 Hero, who now teaches at our institution."

-

And as such, the classes continued and a week soon flew by. The teachers had been vigilant, but beyond a few patrols in the administrative building, no more measures had been taken.

The students remained mostly unaware, thinking the entire incident being due to the Reporters trespassing. Tokoyami and Shindai soon fell back into relaxation... although the Mutant's field of Cursed Energy was still widespread.

One teachers schedule had been slightly altered, namely All Might's. If the intruder had come for information about him, then it was likely he wanted to know when All Might taught at school, due to those times being the safest for a villain doing villain things.

This went unquestioned by the students and the sense of normalcy had already creeped into the school for the vast Majority.

Until, one early afternoon, Aizawa made an announcement.

"For the Foundational Hero class today, it was decided you'll be supervised by a two man team."

The class buzzed with excitement but remained silent, waiting for their teacher to continue.

"We'll now go through the trial of Rescue. Floods, building collapse to fires, you'll learn how to save civilians, and yourselves from each of these Situations."

The student's voices rang out.

"Oh, this sounds complicated."

"YEAH! Thats the entire point of being a Hero!"

"I'd do well in a flood. Its my specialty."

The students excitement was palpable... and that obviously displeased their pessimistic teacher.

"Don't get ahead of yourselves."

With that simple line, the class went quiet.

"As i was saying, you all get to choose whether to wear your costumes or not. Some of them might not be well made for those tasks, so think it over. That's all, go get ready."

-

It did not take long most people to change, and the students soon found themselves at the parking lot in front of a bus. Tenya Iida, the appointed Class president was robotically moving his arms and chopping the air while attempting to arrange the students into a single line.

"STI SSELESU ADIL. EHT STEAS ERA ETISOPPO OT HCAE REHTO."

(ITS USELESS LIDA. THE SEATS ARE OPPOSITE TO EACH OTHER.)

That did not deter the determined class-president as he quickly attempted to organize the seats... although his rowdy classmates did not comply much with his orders, much to his dismay.

Shindai was awkwardly crouching in front of one of the doors, the bus simply not able to accommodate his size. A bit of snickering came from his classmates as they found themselves their seats but it wasn't malicious.

Then, the bus rode off.

The Atmosphere was brimming with excitement as the students discussed different topics. Shindai was listening into several conversations... until one caught his attention.

Tsuyu Asui, the frog-like girl had turned towards Midoriya and quite simply told him how much his Quirk resembled All Might's. The discussion continued about other Quirks, but Shindai's attention had latched onto that special topic.

He had, quite frankly, forgotten about Midoriya's Quirk. But now that Asui brought it up...and that Midoriya's stress-levels quite literally reached the ceiling, he couldn't help but think about it.

'She's right... Midoriya had that crazy energy in his arm when he was about to break his arm. And All Might... Holy shit, he had the same Energy, but in his entire body!'

Shindai couldn't be sure whether it was the same Energy, but the sheer likeness made it possible that his anxiety-filled classmate would become the next All Might!

'Then... i guess the problem is his body? He needs to get bigger to sustain this kind of power with his body.'

He felt his wings twitch in light excitement at that. This really was a situation which could fit into an Anime. The nervous underdog, who is actually super-powerful. And no one knew because he is afraid of hurting others, so everyone thinks he is weak!

"-dai! Shindai! The hell are you dreaming about?"

The Mutant snapped out of his musings and noticed Eijiro Kirishima, staring at him with a wide smile. "We were asking about your Quirk. We literally don't know anything about it!"

"Well," Denki Kaminari chimed in with a smirk. "Nothing besides that it grants you resistance to stuff."

Shindai tilted his head as he thought, then simply shrugged.

"I YAM EVAH DETATSREDNU YM KRIUQ, TUB TI SI TLUCIFFID OT NIALPXE."

(I MAY HAVE UNDERSTATED MY QUIRK, BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN)

Yet as he spoke, he knew his classmate's curiosity wouldn't just fade, as he had garnered nearly everyone's attention including Bakugo, Todoroki and... Aizawa?

Tokoyami's emotions surged a little too, as though excited but were quickly suppressed, as always.

Kirishima spoke up again, leaning closer to Shindai.

"Then, start with this! Why do you talk like that?"

'Talk about honest.'

"YM LACOV SDROC ERA TNEREFFID MORF SRUOY. NA TCEPSA FO YM KRIUQ SI RETTIME EPYT, DNA I ESU TI OT ETACINUMMOC."

(MY VOCAL CORDS ARE DIFFERENT FROM YOURS. AN ASPECT OF MY QUIRK IS EMITTER TYPE, AND I USE IT TO COMMUNICATE.)

Ashido Mina spoke up with her typical excitement.

"Emitter type? Sounds completely different from gaining resistance to things! How are they linked?"

Shindai turned to face her.[4]

"EHT YGRENE NAC ECROFNIER YM YDOB SA LLEW. DNA TI YLLAUDARG STPADA OT TAHW I ECNEIREPXE. EHT S'LEEHW NRUT SECNUONNA EHT NOITATPADA."

(THE ENERGY CAN REINFORCE MY BODY AS WELL. AND IT GRADUALLY ADAPTS TO WHAT I EXPERIENCE. THE WHEEL'S TURN ANNOUNCES THE ADAPTATION. )

That wasn't exactly the truth, but it was what he had told the QSB (Quirk Safety Bureau)

His cursed Energy wasn't actually necessary for the Adaptations... but he said it was in order to make it look less like two different Quirks. Then, there was the nature of the Adaptations.... but he highly doubted anyone would catch onto that.

"Wait! So you can adapt to anything you experience? Does this adaptation only affects the Energy aspect of your Quirk? Or does it change your body? Is the Mutation a necessary aspect to survive these Adaptations? How would that even Work? Adapting to a punch makes the skin harder and tougher or does the energy simply get more efficient at its defense? In case of being hit with a fire-quirk, would he grow scales? And what if-"

'...damn. What a Nerd.'

Shindai had first been nervous at Midoriya's rather well-placed questions... but he soon relaxed because Midoriya's rambling had taken up all the attention he had been getting.

"DEKU! SHUT THE FUCK UP."

*Gasp. "How vulgar."

-

-

It did not take long for the bus to arrive at its destination. The students left the bus in a jovial mood which was quickly overshadowed by awe. Shindai couldn't tell exactly what was so awesome, but the fact that his relatively large Cursed Energy Sensor couldn't scan the entire place was indicative enough.

"Awesome!"

"Holy hell, this is Huge!"

Shindai felt a bit helpless at that. His Cursed Energy was entirely focused on the building they were at, yet he was incapable of sensing the size of the place.

"Flood wrecks. Landslides. Fires and more." A muffled voice suddenly rang out, garnering everyone's attention. "This is a practical training Area, created to simulate all sorts of disasters. And its name is..."

The speaking figure spread her/his arms.

"U.S.J!"

Chapter End.

AN:

Sorry, this took a while. I didn't work on it the entire week and scratched it together in like two days.

The chapter is meh. Idk if its just me, but i feel like my quality is lowering in comparison to earlier chapters? I don't want to write slop, so please tell me if its the case.

But whatever. This here is what matters more.

-

The next fanfic i write. Some of you are worried i'll start right away. Don't worry, i'll only start once this one hits 50 chapters +

Mechamaru in Naruto won, the problem is converting Mechamaru's heavenly restriction into Chakra. So below this, i'll write down my understanding of Chakra (correct me if its wrong) and you'll see the issue i have.

Chakra= Spiritual (Yin) + Physical Energy (Yang)

This is how it works with Jutsu in Naruto.

Yin (spiritual) shapes and controls the Jutsu. It determines what the Jutsu is.

Yang (Physical) serves as fuel for the Jutsu. It determines how real the Jutsu is.

So, someone with Chakra imbalance like Naruto (High Yang Chakra), has trouble controlling and shaping his Jutsu, but has a shit-ton of firepower and phsyicality. [5]

And Chakra imbalance with Yin Chakra (Like the Nara clan), are physically rather weak but have good Chakra control, but lack destructive power.

That means :

-Yang chakra = Dense and powerful Chakra.

Yin Chakra = Thin and malleable Chakra.

But, if we take Mechamaru's Heavenly restriction and apply it in Naruto, that would make = Massive Chakra Reserves, but nearly entirely Yin based. His Chakra imbalance so high (Like : 85 Yin, 15 Yang) that his body is crippled. I think that would be the most correct way to apply this crossover.

The problem is, this kind of Chakra imbalance takes away Mechamaru's firepower. He'll be good at Genjutsu, have insane Chakra control, puppet manipulation, but he wouldn't even be able to shoot a decently powerful fireball or anything like that. Because Massive yin based Chakra means he can spread it out and control it, but not make it real.

Basically, Mechamaru would still have Massive Chakra reserves, but he wouldn't be able to apply it in destructive techniques like he does in Jujutsu Kaisen.

I'm just pointing out the issue, cuz WebNovel readers are sharks when it comes to inconsistencies. And Mechamaru would suffer this inconsistency.

Another thing is about where Mechamaru would be. Sunugakure would be a no-brainer, but there are also other places, like Root, where he could be. This honestly depends on what you think is more interesting, because this would also change Mechamaru's arsenal a bit.

But well, tell me what you think.

[1] "I must say that All Might truly is exceptional! He carries himself with Dignity and enthusiasm, enlightening us on our Path on how to become a Hero!"

[2] Cool Shadowy Heroes don't wave.

[3] In the manga, even Koda raises his hand. KODA. The mute animal guy.

[4] Out of politeness.

[5] I think its technically more about Jutsu density... but well.
