Halfway after leaving Iwagakure, they unexpectedly encountered Shikamaru and his team being escorted under guard. Might Guy and Kakashi immediately took action, swiftly eliminating Kairen's shadow clones and rescuing the group. Might Guy said joyfully, "Great! You're all safe!"
Rock Lee untied the ropes, straightened himself, and looked at Might Guy with overflowing joy. "Guy-sensei, you're safe too!"
Might Guy smiled in response. "Yes! Everyone's safe—that's wonderful!"
However, Kakashi looked at Shikamaru and the other team members, a trace of worry appearing on his face. Realizing the team was incomplete, he frowned deeply and asked,
"Where are Yamanaka Ino and Tenten? Where are they?"
Shikamaru lowered his head, helplessness and sorrow visible on his face. After a moment of silence, he calmly replied,
