Chapter 44 - Chapter 43: Our First Night in the New House

"Alright. Are you ready?"

"Yes!"

With that, I reach for the tall handles and open the newly installed double glass doors. The girls step inside behind me and then stop as Chantal is amazed.

"Whoa...!"

Yomogi is also the same.

"It's beautiful…"

Kimberly murmurs in equal amusement.

"This is… the same… and yet not…"

And Pinna calmly analyzes.

"Despite visual similarities to our current home, this space is substantially larger. The granite surfaces provide high light reflectivity, creating enhanced spatial perception. The lack of furniture further increases visual depth. Conclusion: this house… is far more expansive."

Then, I explain it to them.

"Well, that's because this whole floor will be our new store."

After that, I see Yomogi walk over to the windows and gently touch the pink curtains hanging from above.

"Motegi-chan, these curtains… are they made from Split Caterpillars threads?"

"Yup, you're right."

Honestly, I'm so satisfied with how this has turned out. The walls, floors, and ceiling are all made from polished Ushabti granite, more upscale than the previously installed granite. The curtains are made from Split Caterpillars threads, the same materials as the girls' undergarments, so they give off this silky sheen look.

Then, Kimberly lifts a hand and points toward the only room here.

"Motegi-sama… that room… what is it...?"

"Ah, that's going to be my studio. I'll be placing a counter right in front of it later."

And yes, I'm also delighted to have my own studio to restock, finally freed from sitting cross-legged on the floor.

After that, Chantal beams too excitedly.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's check upstairs!"

"Of course."

With that, we head up the central switchback staircase to the second floor, and our first stop is the bathroom. The moment I push the door open, Chantal immediately points toward a small ceramic fixture under the mirror.

"Wait, what's that?"

"That's a sink. We'll use it to brush our teeth and wash our faces."

"Ohhh…"

And yes, that one is made from the Terracotta's clay, the similar material I used for the ceramics in the store. It's not just stronger than ordinary ceramic but cleaner-looking too. I'm also relieved I managed to replicate the sink with the hole for the Dark magic stone drainage.

Outside the bathroom door, Yomogi spots something else, which is a tall woven bin made out of bamboo.

"Motegi-chan, what's that basket for?"

"Ah, that's where we'll toss our dirty clothes."

And then, the real show.

I guide them into the main bathing area, and their eyes widen all over again. The granite walls and polished floor have the same elegant atmosphere as the store level, but aside from a few wooden stools and baskets in the corner, it's completely empty.

Then, I turn to the girls.

"Alright, time to do the magic."

In the center of the room, I pull out one of the bathtubs from my dimensional inventory, placing it on the floor. Next, I pick up the Terracotta's clay and glass sand. And once I activate [Pottery], the tub stretches and expands until it's enormous within seconds.

"Motegi-sama… it's so… big…"

Of course it is, Kimberly.

I made sure this one's large enough to fit not just all of us, but twelve people if necessary.

Then, I approach the stools in the corner and place the second bathtub down beside them. I use the same materials, activate [Pottery], and reshape it into a slimmer, elongated design.

"Motegi-chan, why do we need two bathtubs?"

"This one's for washing our bodies first. Before we enter the main bath, we'll clean ourselves here."

And not just Yomogi, but the others seem to think it over.

"Yeah, I'll show you later."

Then, we move on to explore the rest of the second floor, which is also polished by the same granite, as we head to our next destination... the wardrobe room.

When I open the door, I step back and reveal three large U-shaped cabinets from polished plywood. And before anyone speaks, I say it first.

"Well, that's your wardrobe room. For your dresses and lingerie."

Silence.

Yomogi turns red and giggles.

"Mou, Motegi-chan… you naughty boy..."

Chantal's cheeks flush as she gives me a playful smack on the arm.

"Don't tease us like that, Motegi-kun!"

Kimberly mutters with her mouth hidden behind her fingers.

"I… I can't believe… you made… an entire room… just for this… Motegi-sama…"

And Pinna is seemingly flustered too, even though she can't explain it.

"The structural design is acceptable… but I am experiencing… an unfamiliar sensation. My internal systems… are heating abnormally. I suspect… mild malfunction."

But before any of them freeze in place from embarrassment, I clear my throat and wave a hand casually.

"Alright, alright, before you all turn to stone, let's keep moving. I haven't even shown you the bedroom yet."

And just like that, they're snapped back, and with still flustered faces, they follow me to the next door beside the wardrobe room. When I open it, the girls gasp again as Chantal speaks first.

"Whoa! It's huge, Motegi-kun!"

"Alright, time for another magic."

With that, I take out our old bed from the current home, which Pinna immediately recognizes.

"Identification complete. This bed matches the unit previously stationed in our current sleeping area."

"Correct."

I set it in place, then pull out timber, resin, and Blitz Sheep wool. Activating [Carpentry] and [Tailoring], I expand the frame and mattress.

"Motegi-kun, it's enormous! Wait, one, two, three, four... don't tell me, this one can fit twelve people?!"

"Yup."

Yes, this is important.

If more girls join us later, which is kind of likely, we'll still have space. And additionally, the Blitz Sheep wool adds that soft, breathable luxury feel too.

Our next stop is the living room as I summon the old sofa, then duplicate it into three with [Copier] and place them in a U-shape. At the dining room, I take out the current table, enlarge it, and craft extra polished chairs around it using [Carpentry]. As we step into the kitchen, Yomogi points at the ceramic basin set into the granite counter.

"Motegi-chan, is that another sink?"

"Yes, that one's for washing dishes."

"That's great!"

Then, I place the range and oven set at the opposite side of the counter, duplicating it to two with [Copier], and place them side by side closely. And I also set the freezing box beside the counter.

After that, I lead them to one of the still-empty rooms.

"Kimberly, this one's your private library."

Kimberly steps in and blinks in awe.

"It's… perfect…"

"How many shelves do you think you'll need?"

"Two… for now…"

"Understood."

I place two shelves from my inventory against the wall. Then, I gather timber and resin, craft a small desk and chair, and set them beside the window, just beneath the curtains.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes… Motegi-sama… I do. Thank you…"

Next, we move to the room beside it.

"Pinna, this will be your workshop."

She enters and rapidly scans.

"Structural dimensions optimal. Airflow and temperature acceptable. Interior conditions meet workshop parameters."

"What do you need?"

"Three desks. One swivel chair."

"Got it."

I create three desks and arrange them in a U-shape. Then, I summon wool, iron ore, and charcoal. Activating [Blacksmithing] and [Tailoring], I create a slick black swivel chair and place it in the center.

"This setup is highly satisfactory. You are amazing as always, Master."

"Glad you like it."

Then, I ask the girls again.

"Wanna see the coolest part of the house?"

"Yes!"

With that, we make our way down the corridor. And as we pass by several unopened doors, Pinna says something that catches me off guard.

"Observation: many rooms remain unassigned. Hypothesis: these are reserved for future tenants. Probability: said tenants will be female."

"Wha...? Ah, ahaha... is it that obvious?"

They glance at one another. No one answers, but no one objects either.

At the end of the corridor, I open a wide door and step outside. The girls follow and then freeze.

A large open terrace stretches across the upper floor, framed by low metal fences with a polished wooden floor. A patch of rich soil sits to one side like a miniature garden.

"Motegi-chan, is this our balcony?"

"Yup. And that garden is yours, Yomogi."

"Really?! Thank you!"

"Now, check this out."

I summon timber and resin, activate [Carpentry], and craft a wide sunlounger. Then, I use [Copier] to duplicate it until there are five.

"Motegi-sama… what are these… for?"

"This is a relaxation spot. You can nap here or just stargaze. These loungers are for that."

"Oooh, can I sunbathe here, Motegi-kun?!"

"Of course. That's what they're for."

Yes, this was why I built this terrace.

I wanted a private place for relaxation that also had a garden with it. However, putting sunloungers outside the house would feel awkward, so I sacrificed a little indoor space to make this part of the second floor.

And like Chantal said, sunbathing is obviously on the table. I can already imagine the girls stretching out in bikinis I'll tailor for them myself later.

MOMENTS LATER

"Float!"

The moment I cast the spell, my feet lift off the floor, and I hover upward toward the ceiling. It's a spell from the Cosmic element, and just like the name says, Float allows you to… float and it just makes things like reaching high places easier.

I place my hand against the ceiling and start installing the duplicated Light magic stones into the lighting holes one by one across every room. First floor, then second.

Once I'm done, I land back on my feet and look up at the ceiling, then turn to Kimberly.

"So, how do I turn these on?"

"Clap... twice... Motegi-sama..."

"Huh?"

With that, I try clapping twice, and instantly, the magic stones glow across the ceiling like a lightbulb.

"Whoa. You're right."

"Yes… it's convenient..."

"Yeah, it really is."

Then, I ask her again.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes..."

With that, I cast a teleportation spell and open a portal to Kimberly's villa in Heiligeichen.

KIMBERLY'S VILLA, HEILIGEICHEN

We step through and arrive at her place in an instant, then we head to the small hut beside her villa and start gathering every book inside.

Once we're done, I ask her.

"That's all of them?"

"Yes... Motegi-sama..."

"Alright."

Then, I sweep the books inside my dimensional inventory, and then I open another portal that brings us to her new private library at the house.

INSIDE KIMBERLY'S PRIVATE LIBRARY

MOTEGI'S HOUSE, REMANTIA

We step through, and I place all the books on the table.

"Can you handle the rest?"

"Yes... I will... organize... them..."

"Okay."

I leave her to it and head straight for the kitchen. I install a Fire magic stone into the stove and another into the oven below. Yomogi pokes her head in and beams.

"Motegi-chan! Thanks! I'll make dinner tonight!"

"Sounds good. I'm hungry already."

With that, I continue by placing a Water magic stone in the kitchen faucet and a Dark magic stone in the sink drain. Then, I walk to the living room and install a Fire magic stone in the hearth. After that, I go to the bathroom to install Fire, Water, and Dark magic stones in both bathtubs and then place Water and Dark stones in the nearby sink room. And I also place Water and Dark stones on the ceramic toilet just beside the bathroom.

And then, I curiously head over to Pinna's workshop, and I can see her already working. Seated on her chair, she glides between the tables.

"You doing good, Pinna?"

"Yes, Master."

"Nice. Keep it up."

"Understood, Master."

Well, although she still looks as emotionless as always, I can tell that she's enjoying it. Compared to working on the store floor at our current home, this is clearly better for her.

After leaving her, I step out to the outdoor terrace and head toward the garden. Crouching down, I place a Water magic stone into the granite frame of the soil bed. Right next to it, I add a Dark magic stone to prevent leaking or erosion.

Then, I stand up and open my status, and the reason itself was because of something that happened exactly after I finished rebuilding the house.

ONE HOUR AGO

CHING-CHING!!!

That loud jackpot noise somehow returned to me after so long, and it was followed by the familiar pop-up notification screen in front of my eyes.

"Bonus Skill Obtained!"

As usual, I checked my status.

BONUS SKILL AVAILABLE, TAP HERE

The familiar status screen popped up in front of me, and aside from me having leveled up again after the recent labyrinth expedition, I was also surprised when I knew that I could obtain a new bonus skill again, as the last time I did that was when I acquired the [Temporary Boost] back then.

Then, I tapped the bonus skill button, and then the window changed into the nostalgic horizontal flowcharts of square skill icons like a sideways tech tree. After clicking one by one, I found a skill that caught my interest.

[Seedless]

Grow plants without needing actual seeds. Can be used for gardening.

That [Seedless] only had one adjacent, locked skill beside it that was still dimmed behind "???" symbols. It somehow reminded me of [Basic Farming], a skill I skipped for [Hygienics], although [Seedless] seemed to not require big fields. And since I really craved stuff that didn't exist in Acrusse — potatoes, corn, tomatoes, chilies, strawberries, chocolate, and even dahlias, and sunflowers — I couldn't deny how much I wanted it, so I just picked that up without hesitation and let my stats be updated again.

PRESENT TIME

"[Seedless]!"

I press my palms against the soil and activate the skill, focusing on all the crops I want... but nothing happens.

"Well, I guess this one is not instant like crafting.

With a shrug, I head back inside. Just as I step through the door, I hear Chantal shout, and it makes me smack my forehead.

"Motegi-kun! Where's my training room?!"

"Ah! Sorry, I forgot!"

She crosses her arms, pouting.

"Alright, alright, pick any room you like."

She points at one instantly, and we enter.

"So, what do you want in here, Chantal?"

"I need some practice dummies to strike on!"

"Got it."

Then, I take out timber and resin from my inventory and activate [Carpentry]. Within seconds, a row of humanoid dummies stands on each side of the wall.

"Perfect! Thanks, Motegi-kun!"

ONE HOUR LATER

Then, Yomogi's dinner is ready. We all gather around the dining table as we share our first meal in the new house.

After dinner, we head to the bathroom. My waist is wrapped in a towel, and so are the girls, as each has one wrapped around their body.

"Alright, let me show you how to bathe properly."

They gather around curiously as I demonstrate each step. First, I take a seat on the wooden stool.

"Step one, sit on the stool."

Second, I pick up a small wooden bucket and fill it with warm water from the washing tub, then splash the water over my body.

"Step two, use this and pour it like this."

Third, I grab my soap bar and shampoo bottle, cleaning up my body and hair.

"Step three, wash your body and hair with soap and shampoo."

Fourth, I rinse off.

"Step four, use another bucket of water to rinse everything."

Lastly, I stand and step into the main bath.

"Once you're clean, only then do you enter the bathtub, and... haah... so good..."

The moment hot water wraps around me, I can't even finish my instruction as I immediately sigh and melt into the warmth.

After that, the girls spring into action and follow each step. Then, they join me in the bath one by one.

Yomogi sighs with a dreamy expression.

"Bathing is so good, Motegi-chan..."

Chantal cheers and splashes the water in delight.

"Woohoo! I can finally take a bath again, Motegi-kun!"

Kimberly sinks up to her shoulders.

"I… really missed... this feeling... Motegi-sama..."

Pinna picks up the water on her palms.

"Bathing improves blood circulation, relaxes the muscles, and supports stable mood regulation. This is… highly satisfactory, Master."

Watching them all soak in bliss, I feel the same. After months of cold water and buckets, this is my first real bath since coming to Acrusse.

Later that night, we all head to the bedroom. The girls are already in their sexy negligees as Yomogi and Chantal curl up on my left and Kimberly and Pinna on my right.

However, we don't have sex tonight, as their eyes are already closed with soft, peaceful smiles on their faces. Well, let's say if they're just too happy about the new house.

However, this isn't an official move just yet because we still have unfinished business at our current home.

But let's talk about it tomorrow.

"Goodnight, everyone…"

And just like that, I whisper to them, and I close my eyes for sleep.
