With my plans now lined out, I decided to do what I have been meaning to do since I have left the dungeon.
[You have synthesized the 'chains of despair' and 'slime']
[The chains of despair have gained the 'self-repair' trait]
----------
[Name: chains of despair]
[Type: living weapon]
[Rank: advance]
[Description: a black chain with a blade on the end that can move as if its alive]
[Effects:
{bleeding: wounds inflicted will constantly bleed and healing speed will slow down}
{weakness: those wounded will have their stamina constantly drained}
{despairing aura: the [chains of despair] releases an aura that passively causes surrounding creatures to panic}
{duplication: the [chains of despair] can duplicate itself and create additional chains in exchange for 150 mp per chain}
{extension: the [chains of despair] can extend itself in exchange for 5 mp per meter}
{bound weapon: the [chains of despair] can only be wielded by one person and can grow with its wielder}
{living weapon: the [chains of despair] can move according to its wielders will and can easily hide itself or fuse on/with them}
{self-repair: the [chains of despair] can passively heal itself and recover from all damage as long as it's not completely destroyed}]
----------
Seeing the result of the synthesis I was satisfied. My weapon would at least never break unless it's completely destroyed.
The only thing I would need to add to my weapon now is 'sharpness,' 'magic resistance,' and 'mana channeling'. After that it should be a nearly perfect weapon till I reach the ruler rank.
The only thing that made me frown was that 'sharpness,' and 'magic channeling' can only be added by a blacksmith, rune maker, or an enchanter.
'I do have a major boost in life skills so maybe I should start learning some? Afterall I would prefer to not pay for something I can do myself.'
'I can definitely talk to my parents about learning later, it's just not that convenient for now.'
'Anyway, I should probably visit the next dungeon soon since I only have a week and a half before the exam.'
After making the decision to visit my second dungeon I started to debate whether I should stick to my original choice.
My first choice for the option of my second dungeon is the 'swamp of poison'.
This is mainly due to the special characteristics of creatures with poison and acid affinities making them nearly impossible to fight in melee combat without considerable risk. And even if you are fighting from range, you are still not completely safe.
The reason I am debating about whether or not to choose this dungeon is since it's also a rare dungeon, so it may be a bit difficult to gain the last 4 levels.
The only other dungeons of the apprentice rank are epic dungeons with ice and fire attributes, so I didn't want to go to those dungeons since skills that can be found there can be found everywhere.
I could also complete an advance dungeon, but the stats of the monsters won't make killing them easy and I would also face 20% suppression so if I'm surrounded, I could actually be killed.
Due to this I completely discarded that idea. I might have been able to challenge a dungeon a rank above me if I wasn't a race with exponential growth, but I am so I have to suffer being quite weak in the early ranks.
Or at least that would normally be the case if it wasn't for doubled growth and skill stealing. With it I'm still quite powerful even if I can't compare with a divine race currently.
'Then I guess it's decided, I'll have my second dungeon be the 'swamp of poison'.
----- The next day -----
"THE DUNGEON WILL NOW BE OPENED"
With that I entered the 'swamp of poison' revealing a very damp and green environment.
'The grounds so squishy!'
'At least I thought ahead and wore some boots and proper pants to keep me clean. I just hope no mud gets in my tails.'
Dissatisfied with the swampy environment my resolve was solidified as I was determined to get this over with as soon as possible but first, I had to deal with the disaster which was the environment.
With that I decided to start using 'affinity coating' as way to isolate my body.
My first thought was to use my void affinity, but the result was less than satisfactory. As soon as I used it I immediately sunk down to my knees in mud as everything touching me, including the ground, was erased once it made contact.
'GOD DAMIT! Note to self, don't use void affinity for anything like this again till I can completely control it'
With that outstanding failure I decided to use a common air coating to push everything back and enhance my speed.
Now that that was done, I finally started moving as I went in the direction which seemed the easiest to travel.
In barely anytime at all I encountered an area with a bunch of monsters. It was an area with a group of giant dark green frogs, 120 cm tall, laying in mud puddles.

[Name: giant poison tongued frogs]
[Rank: apprentice]
[Level: 18-21]
[Affinities: poison]
[Skills: poison spit, paralytic tongue, lesser poison resistance, high jump]
-----
Seeing the status of the frogs and with the environment I decided that the best way to deal with them would be lightning magic. It might be a bit of a risk if I'm not careful, but it will allow me to deal with a large amount of them very quickly.
With that I started to create a ball of yellow lightning which constantly created sparks. Unluckily the noise created by the lightning quickly caught their attention as they instantly became alert and turned towards me.
In little to no time, they jumped 3 meters high as they made their way towards me. Seeing this I fired the lightning ball at them and the second it made contact it expanded creating a blinding light and killing three of the frogs.
After this several of the frogs targeted me with some spitting a green liquid and other shooting their tongues at me.
Noticing this I quickly dodged and created several more lightning balls as I fired them, killing all of the frogs.

After gaining the skills a strange feeling started to permeate in my body, specifically my mouth and my legs.
'Interesting, even when I got my strong body skill, I didn't get a feeling like this. The only similar feeling I got was when I got death grip, but this is stronger.'
'I guess the feeling comes from a fundamental change instead of a qualitative change.'
After that a new thought came to my mind.
I was curious whether my own poison would affect me and if my saliva has changed color to green like that of the frogs.
Not being one to delay something which didn't bring danger to me, I decided to lick my own palm to test it and as I did just that, I started to sense If my palm felt off in any way.
Not feeling anything, it was determined that my own poison is ineffective against myself, so I looked at my palm, and my saliva didn't appear any different.
Once that was confirmed as well, I wondered if saliva only turned green if the skill was used actively so I used poison spit to test it.
Activating the skill a strange feeling started to bubble in my mouth as I started to rapidly produce Saliva. After a while I felt like a threshold was met as I spit out a green liquid towards a nearby tree.
Once it hit the tree it started to wither at the point of contact.
'Well, it's good to know that I'm immune to my own poison especially since poison spit is more powerful than I thought.'
'Afterall it was only boosted by 10% and the tree started to wither. It's even spreading at a visible pace of 1 cm per second too.'
Once I finished my experiments, I decided that I should move on and continue my hunt but first I needed to summon Diablo.
After summoning him I was going to say we should split up but before I could even get a word out, he already responded.
"I already know the deal. Which direction are you planning to go."
"Eh-, well first off, rude. And second, I'll go south."
"Fine with me, and it's not rude if we're the same person"
Before I could even respond back, he already disappeared leaving me looking at air.
'Whatever, I'll get back at him later."
And with that I disappeared into the swamp as well.
