Ava laid on her bed in silence for a while when she woke up the next morning. Her eyes were on the white ceiling but her mind was far off. She wasn't sure how long she stayed like that, but the moment a thought popped up in her mind, she swallowed and pushed herself off the bed, moving quickly before Charles or one of the maids came knocking to call her down for breakfast.
It made her pause for a brief second, how routine it had all become.
Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. That was the way it was every single day.
