Scott knew he was being watched long before he saw him. He knew the moment he stepped out of his car that someone was watching him from a distance. His first guess was that Damian had people watching him.
It was a familiar feeling. The kind that crawled up the back of his neck and settled there, it was unpleasant and persistent. He ignored it at first, nursing the glass in his hand as he leaned against the bar, his eyes fixed on nothing in particular. The place was quieter than usual. It was simply filled with midday crowd, businessmen and men with nothing better to do. It suited him.
He was halfway through his drink when a shadow fell beside him.
"You always did choose places like this."
