The bra came loose and she slid the straps off her shoulders and dropped it without looking at where it landed.
The cool air of the room touched her skin all at once and she felt it everywhere.
She took a breath.
Across from her, Haejin's head tilted.
Just slightly.
Toward the sound.
He was listening to everything now. Every shift she made. Every small sound. His eyes were gone so everything else in him had switched on completely and she could see it happening in real time, the way his body was tuned entirely to her without him being able to help it.
She watched him and felt something pull low in her stomach.
She hooked her thumbs into the waistband of her underwear.
Took her time with it.
Pulled them down slowly, stepped out, and stood back up straight.
Then she looked down.
There was a wet streak on the inside of the fabric.
Thin. Obvious.
She stared at it.
