And just like that, Soorin's entire demeanor changed.
Her spine straightened like someone had pulled a string attached to the top of her head. Shoulders squared back. The nervous energy that had been radiating off her evaporated completely, like someone had flipped a switch and turned off the fragile girl act.
Her voice came out clear and cold and absolutely rock steady.
"Is it absurd? Because I have evidence that says otherwise."
