Soorin arrived first. Ordered iced coffee. Found a corner table away from windows.
Daehyun showed up five minutes later. Got his usual americano. Sat across from her.
"You look like hell."
"Thanks."
"I mean it. You're not sleeping."
"Can't sleep when I'm planning someone's professional destruction."
He almost smiled. "Fair point." Sipped his coffee. "So. Strategy. Walk me through the full plan."
She did. Explained Attorney Kim's timeline. The evidence they were collecting. The possibility of accepting a follow-up interview as a trap.
Daehyun listened. Didn't interrupt.
When she finished, he was quiet for a moment.
"You're actually going to do it. The interview."
"If she asks, yes."
"That's insane."
"That's strategic."
"Same thing in this case." He leaned forward. "Soorin, listen to me. I support you. I'm helping you. But you need to be honest with yourself—are you doing this for justice? Or revenge?"
