Jihoon nodded.
"About a year ago, Yura approached me after practice. We'd known each other for a while. Backup dancers get shuffled between groups sometimes. I'd worked with her on a few projects."
"And?"
"She asked if I wanted to grab coffee. Said she wanted to thank me for my hard work. Show her appreciation."
He paused.
"I was flattered. Yura's gorgeous. Successful. And she was paying attention to me."
Soorin kept her face neutral.
But internally she was noting everything.
'A year ago. Before I even joined AUREYA.'
'Before Haejin and I had any interactions.'
"She started spending money on me," Jihoon continued. "Nice dinners. Gifts. Said it was just because she appreciated good dancers. That the industry didn't value us enough."
"And you were smitten," Manager Park said flatly.
"Yes. I won't lie about that. She was beautiful. Interested. And generous. I thought maybe—"
He stopped.
"You thought maybe what?"
"That she was interested in me. Romantically."
"Was she?"
