"I'd still make music. But my way. No company breathing down my neck. No fake relationships. No constant surveillance."
"Would you still perform?"
"Yeah. I love performing. I just hate everything around it."
"The business part."
"Exactly."
They sat there.
Tea getting cold.
Imagining different lives.
Better lives.
Freer lives.

After dinner, they walked.
Haejin pulled his mask back up.
Hat low.
Glasses on.
They looked like any other couple.
Normal.
Anonymous.
They ended up at the Han River.
The car parked safely in a nearby lot.
Hidden among dozens of others.
The path was busy.
Joggers.
Cyclists.
Families with kids.
But nobody noticed them.
Nobody cared.
It was freeing.
Haejin took her hand.
Right there in public.
Bold.
Brave.
Soorin's heart raced.
"Someone might see."
"Let them."
They walked along the water.
Watching the sun set.
Orange and pink.
Reflecting off the surface.
Beautiful.
"This feels like a movie," she said.
"A good one?"
