Soorin rushed through the hospital's automatic doors.
Her heart hammering against her ribs.
The fluorescent lights overhead were too bright.
Made everything feel surreal.
She found Jihoon's room on the third floor.
Manager Park was already there.
Standing outside. Arms crossed.
"He's stable," Manager Park said. "Awake. Talking."
"Can I see him?"
"That's why I called you. He specifically asked for you."
She pushed open the door.
Jihoon lay in the hospital bed.
Bruised. Bandaged. But alive.
Relief flooded through her chest.
"Ms. Han." His voice was rough.
"How are you feeling?"
"Like I got hit by a car." He tried to smile. "Because I did."
She pulled a chair close.
"What happened? Who did this?"
His expression shifted.
Nervous. Scared.
"It was... it was Yura."
The room tilted.
"What?"
"Yura approached me. A few days before."
