Dawn light crept through the Vegas hotel curtains.
Soft. Golden. Mocking.
Soorin lay awake, watching Haejin sleep beside her.
One arm flung over the pillow where her head had been moments ago. Face peaceful in a way she rarely saw when he was awake. His chest rose and fell steadily.
He looked younger like this. Vulnerable.
'This has to stop,' she thought. 'Before it destroys us both.'
Her body ached in all the best ways. Reminders of what they'd done. Multiple times. Throughout the night.
