She worked on Jisoo first.
He chattered the entire time.
About the venue. The crowd. His nerves.
"What if I forget the choreography?"
"You won't."
"But what if—"
"You've practiced a thousand times."
"A thousand and forty-two, actually."
She smiled despite herself.
"Then you'll be fine."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
He relaxed slightly.
She finished his makeup.
Light. Natural. Just enough to look good under stage lights.
"Done."
He checked the mirror.
"Perfect! Thanks, noona!"
He bounced away.
Energy uncontainable.
Doyun was next.
He sat. Smirked.
"So. Fun morning?"
"You're not going to let this go, are you?"
"Not a chance."
She applied foundation.
Tried to ignore his knowing look.
"You know," he said casually, "hyung was in a really good mood when he finally showed up to rehearsal."
"Was he."
"Yeah. Humming. Can you believe it? Haejin. Humming."
"Maybe he's excited about the show."
"Or maybe—" Doyun's grin widened, "—someone finally helped him relax."
