Haejin.
"You're still here."
"So are you."
He leaned against the doorframe. Arms crossed.
"Can't sleep."
"Join the club."
Silence stretched between them.
Finally, he spoke.
"I'm sorry."
She blinked.
"For what?"
"For not being there. When that guy attacked you."
"Haejin—"
"I should've been there."
"You couldn't have known."
"Doesn't matter. I should've—"
"Stop."
Her voice was firm.
He looked at her.
"This isn't your fault. You didn't send that guy. You didn't plan the attack. Stop blaming yourself."
His jaw tightened.
"But—"
"No buts. You're not responsible for every bad thing that happens to me."
He opened his mouth. Then closed it.
Finally nodded.
"Okay."
She went back to organizing.
He didn't leave.
Just stood there. Watching.
Finally, she glanced up.
"Was there something else?"
"Be careful."
"I am."
"I'm serious, Soorin. Someone's targeting you. Someone dangerous."
"I know."
"Then why are you still here? Why not quit? Go somewhere safe?"
