EIGHT MONTHS LATER
The contractions started by dusk.
Daniela clung to her mother, as she experienced hit after hit.
"Mama! It hurts so bad. Make it stop please!" She cried out desperately.
"Shhh, princess. You're going to be fine. Doctor Hernandez is on his way. Everything is going to be fine, my princess." She stroked her hair, as she held her to her body.
A pool of sweat gathered in her forehead despite the air-conditioned room.
The room was ready for the delivery. Everything stacked in place so the process could be smooth and perfect.
Luciano in a closed door meeting was informed by Vittorio about what was going on.
He didn't smile. He hadn't smiled in eight months. But there was a glint in his eyes.
One that showed how happy he was, because by the time he walked out of the meeting room, he would be holding his son.
Back in the delivery room, doctor Hernandez ran in, prepped, and ready to deliver the De Luca heir.
