Everyone finally understood what Jack wanted to do. He was going to use his illusion ability to broadcast a message across the entire world, every island, every sea, every corner of this world would receive the same broadcast at the same time and there would be both truth and lies woven into it.
The lie was necessary because he intended to construct an illusion of Dragon and Luffy appearing together, making it look as though the Revolutionary Army and the Straw Hat Pirates were standing side by side as one unified force against the World Government.
"You ok with this Luffy?" asked Jack.
Luffy expression had none of its usual goofiness in it instead with serious face he reply. "Do it Jack, what they did to Sabo is unforgivable."
Jack smiled hearing his answer
"There is one more thing I forgot to mention," said Jack, his eyes moving to Luffy. "I will also be showing the real power of your devil fruit."
For a moment nobody said anything because it has become common knowledge that Luffy devil fruit is Rubber fruit.
"My real power," Luffy repeated slowly. "Wasn't it rubber?"
"It was never just rubber," said Jack.
"Then what is it?" asked Luffy, his brow furrowing.
"You will find out when everyone else does," said Jack simply.
"That is not an answer!" said Luffy.
"Jack," said Nami carefully, stepping forward. "What exactly do you mean by his real power? Are you saying his fruit is something other than what we all thought it was?"
"That is exactly what I am saying," said Jack.
Robin had gone very still, her eyes were fixed on Jack with an expression that was difficult to read. "The Gomu Gomu no Mi," she said quietly.
"Watch the sky," said Jack.
"He keeps saying that," mocked Usopp.
"It is genuinely his only answer for everything," said Nojiko.
"What about me?" said Zoro flatly. "Are you going to broadcast something about me too?"
"No," said Jack.
"Good, don't broadcast Marimo," mocked Sanji.
"What do you say curlybrows," Zoro glared at him.
"You two be quiet for a moment this is not the time to fight," Jack stopped them both.
Sanji and Zoro stopped. "So the plan is to expose the World Government crimes to every person alive at the same time. Using an illusion you personally constructed, broadcast through the sky." He paused. "How."
Jack glanced toward the Going Merry and pressed a sequence on the small device in his hand. "I put some kind of new ship on the upper layer of the earth, it were called Sattlite. ?"
Everyone looked up at the sky, seeing nothing but only blue layer.
"There is nothing up there," said Bartolomeo, squinting hard.
"That is because they are in orbit," said Jack although they won't understand what orbit really means. "I released them during the early stages of our journey, overtime it accumulated and now there are just over ten thousand of them positioned across the entire globe."
Everyone become silent and looked at Jack disbelief.
"Ten thousand," Nami repeated.
"In orbit," added Usopp although he didn't know what Orbit means.
"You put ten thousand satellites into orbit," said Nami again, her voice going flat. "While we were just sailing around doing things, you were also doing that."
"Yes," said Jack.
"When did you even..." Usopp started before stopping himself. "You know what, I am not going to ask.... I am never going to ask."
Chopper was spinning in a small circle. "Ten thousand! That number is insane! How big is space?!"
"Very big," said Jack.
Dorry let out a long low rumble from where he and Broggy stood at the back of the group, the two giants exchanging a look with each other that said everything without needing words.
"Little warrior," said Broggy, looking at Jack with wide eyes. "You put things in the sky?"
"Yes," said Jack.
Dorry scratched the side of his enormous head. "Giants do not do that."
"No," agreed Jack. "They do not."
Bonney had her arms crossed and was staring at Jack with narrowed eyes. "So you have been setting this up since the beginning, this was never a last minute plan was it."
"No," said Jack. "It was not."
"You prepared all of this before we even knew Sabo would be attacked," said Robin.
"I prepared it because I had a feeling we will need it" said Jack.
"If this reaches every island," Vivi said quietly, "every kingdom, every town, every village across the entire world at the same time…" She lowered her hands slowly. "The people will see everything."
"That is the intention," said Jack.
"You understand what you are starting, this is not simply an act of getting justice for Sabo. Once the world sees what the World Government has hidden, there is no going back from it, the reaction will be enormous and not all of it will be in our favour." warned King Cobra.
"I know," said Jack.
"And you are doing it anyway," said Cobra.
"Yes," said Jack.
Cobra looked at him for a long moment and then nodded slowly, stepping back without another word.
Kuma stood where he always stood, saying nothing as he always did, but the look behind his eyes was something that had been building for a very long time. Yeah this is the look of some who almost get his revenge.
Since the day Ginny was kidnapped he had been carrying it and now standing here watching this unfold, knowing that Luffy, the warrior of liberation, was at the center of it, something in his heart feel satisfaction.
"I spent twenty years running from the World Government, I watched them burn Ohara and call it justice, I watched them erase history and call it order." said Robin before paused for a while . "Whatever you are about to show the world, make sure it is something they cannot look away from."
"It will be," said Jack.
"Then do it," said Robin.
Jack looked at Luffy one more time.
Luffy met his eyes and said nothing, just gave him that look, the look that simply said he trusted him completely and that was the end of it.
Jack turned back to the device in his hand and he pressed the button to activate broadcast live.
The Going Merry responded instantly, a concentrated beam of blue light firing straight up from the ship into the sky above them moving faster than their eyes could track. It hit the first satellite and from there it branched outward, signal jumping from satellite to satellite across the entire network, ten thousand relay points spreading the connection across every ocean and every island on the globe simultaneously.
And then the world went dark.
Not dark like night and not dark like a storm rolling in. It was something being controlled using illusion to block the sunlight, like a curtain being drawn across the sun. The Den Den Mushi across the entire world went silent at the same moment, every frequency, every channel, every private line cutting out at once without warning.
"It is actually working," Nami said under her breath, staring up at the sky with wide eyes.
"Of course it is working," said Bartolomeo, though his voice was slightly less steady than usual.
Usopp grabbed Chopper by the shoulders without looking away from the sky. "Is this normal? This does not feel normal."
"It is definitely not normal," said Chopper.
Broggy stared upward with his eyes. "Little warrior made the whole sky go dark," he said slowly.
"Strong little warrior," Dorry nodded beside him.
Bonney uncrossed her arms and tilted her head back, watching while looking at her father.
Vivi reached out and took her father hand without thinking and Cobra held it without a word, both of them looking up at what Jack had just set into motion.
And then the screen in the sky above them began to appear.
