When Dragon arrived at the location where the corpse of the Revolutionary Army were located, the sight that greeted him was something that he wished he didn't see it. Although he had been in constant war but still he don't want to see it.
Their bodies had been mutilated, some even dismembered and left floating on the open sea like they were nothing more than garbage discarded by the enemy. These were his people, men and women who had dedicated their lives to changing the world and had followed him without hesitation even knowing the risks.
Dragon said nothing as he stood there, his face remaining as still as stone the way it always did but deep inside him something burned hot.
The others were not as composed as him, the moment they saw the state of their fallen comrades, cries broke out across the quinjet. Some fell to their knees and some covered their mouths and turned away before they too broke down. Koala had her fists clenched so tightly that her knuckles had gone white, tears streaming down her face as she stared at the bodies of people she had laughed with, trained with, and fought alongside.
Raiken had done a good job gathering all the corpse at one place so they would not drift away with the sea waves. They had left this place after giving coordinate to Dragon and return to their Going Merry ship.
One by one, they carefully carried the bodies into the Quinjet, treating each fallen member with the dignity and respect they deserved. No one spoke, they just did the work silently.
After all the bodies were secured, the Quinjet lifted into the sky and flew towards their base. The funeral was held with full honors, each name was spoken aloud and each face was remembered. Dragon stood at the front throughout the entire ceremony, his expression unreadable, his eyes dry.
Just after the funeral, Drago standing by the window of his quarters with the sea wind pressing against the glass. His hand pressed flat against the cold surface.
'I will not let their deaths mean nothing.' said Dragon internally.
Later, they gathered in the meeting room to discuss their next move. The atmosphere was heavy, especially after buried their fallen comrade one by one. No one had forgotten what happened but they were Revolutionary Army and they would not stop moving forward even if there is only one person who are still alive.
"What about Sabo?" asked Koala suddenly.
Her voice was quieter than usual and the redness around her eyes had not fully faded. Of all the people in that room, no actually of all the people in Revolutionary Army, Sabo was not just a comrade to her, he was one of her closest people.
"According to Jack, he might still be alive," answered Dragon.
Several heads turned towards Dragon, Koala eyes went wide and she stared at Dragon as if she needed a moment to process what he had just said.
"Really?" Her voice cracked slightly. "But why he are not here?"
"Jack are trying to find his whereabout using his technology," replied Dragon. "He said it will take about three days."
Koala exhaled slowly, pressing her hand against her chest. Three days was something she could enduren but knowing that Sabo might still be out there somewhere in the ocean, injured and alone, made every passing second feel unbearable.
The others in the room become quiet again, each person sitting with their own thoughts. They really hope Sabo are still alive because he was the Chief and also the second strongest person in Revolutionary Army.
But before they could continue, the intercom rang aloud.
Dragon walked towards it and answered the call. Jack was the only person who had access to this particular communication network, while the other especially World Government still use Den Den Mushi.
"Hello Jack," said Dragon.
"We can find Sabo in three days but are you ready about what I am going to do next?" questioned Jack directly.
Dragon paused for a moment. The last time they spoke in Going Merry, Jack had mentioned something about a plan that would shake the World Government to its core, but Jack had kept the details to himself and not even tell what he is going to do to them.
Dragon still did not know exactly what Jack had planned and that bothered him more than he wanted to admit.
"Can you please tell me, what do you really wanted to do to World Government?" asked Dragon.
"That is a secret," said Jack, and Dragon fist harden because he really hates not knowing what Jack wanted to do. "You will find out later so now just relax and watch the sky."
The line cut off before Dragon could question him more.
Dragon stood there for a moment staring at the intercom as those words lingered in his mind. Watch the sky, of all the things Jack could have said that was not what he expected.
'Did he really asked me to take a look at the sky,' questioned Dragon internally.
He turned around and the others inside the room had heard everything, already looking at him with questions written across their faces.
"Dragon sama, what does he want to do?"
"What did he mean by watch the sky?"
Dragon looked at each of them for a moment before he spoke.
"Let's go outside," he ordered. "Whatever he wanted to do, we will find out soon enough."
No one argued and they followed Dragon in silence, currently the sky are still bright some of the crew exchanged glances while a few shifted their weight restlessly, the anticipation building with every second that went by.
Then it happened, the sky darkened, not the natural darkening of clouds rolling in or a storm approaching and not even the night has come because it just 5 pm but something else entirely, Just about 15 seconds later, a massive bright screen lit up above them, enormous and impossible, stretching wider than anything Dragon had ever seen projected before.
"That..." said Koala, her finger pointing upward as her voice completely failed her and she turned to look at Dragon with an expression of pure disbelief. It was not just her either, every single person standing, wore the same look with mouths open and eyes wide, completely dumbfounded as they stared at what was unfolding above them in the sky.
Dragon eyes narrowed slowly as he looked up.
