It had been about a week since Emiya had that meal with Wiz.
Because of the headless knight, Emiya's group hadn't taken on any monster-slaying quests these past few days.
But it wasn't a problem.
They had just split a reward worth over ten million Eris. No one was short on money.
The Adventurers' Guild staff had also said that next month, a knight order would be dispatched from the capital to deal with the executive. The headless knight would be driven off then.
The money they had was more than enough to last until that time.

Aqua straightened, confidence returning instantly.
"Disappear, undead being that defies the will of the gods!"
"Sacred Turn Undead!"
A white magic circle appeared beneath the headless knight's feet.
A pillar of light shot straight into the sky.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh-!"
Black smoke poured from his armor as he collapsed, rolling on the ground as if trying to put out invisible flames.
"Again, Aqua," Emiya said evenly.
"Sacred Turn Undead!"
"Again."
"Sacred Turn Undead."
"Again."
"Sacred Turn Undead."
Pillars of holy light continued to erupt one after another.
The headless knight's screams followed in succession, each more miserable than the last.
At some point, the adventurers watching began to feel sympathy for him.
"This is too cruel..."
"That guy is a demon. A real demon."
"Please... just finish him already! Stop playing with him!"
After enduring more than ten consecutive holy purifications, the headless knight's armor finally shattered.
His head slipped from his grasp.
It rolled across the ground.
And came to a stop at Emiya's feet.
Emiya looked down at it.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
