Chapter 164 - Chapter 164 — The Ten Shadows Technique

Chapter 164 — The Ten Shadows Technique

Boom!

Boses charged straight at Fushiguro Megumi, his entire body reinforced by overwhelming cursed energy.

He looked like a ferocious beast unleashed—raw, savage, and overflowing with primal violence.

So their combat style really is different from that of Earth's sorcerers…

Megumi muttered inwardly, his hands never pausing as he formed seals.

"Nue!"

Rip—!

A massive crimson bird burst forth, its wings spreading more than ten meters wide.

Golden lightning coiled tightly around its body as it screeched through the air, diving toward Boses.

Thunder crashed down upon him—

—and at the same time, Divine Dog: Totality lunged in to attack.

In an instant, Boses found himself entangled in combat with multiple shikigami.

From the shadows beneath his feet, long black tongues repeatedly shot out, interfering with his movements.

Together with Divine Dog and Nue, they formed a relentless suppression net, preventing Boses from closing the distance.

Now that Megumi had a general grasp of his opponent's fighting style, there was no way he would allow close combat.

After all—

his cursed technique was never meant for direct, hand-to-hand fighting.

"Boses isn't gaining the upper hand… That Earth warrior is incredibly strong!"

The surrounding Simurian warriors stared in disbelief.

Their once-invincible top-tier fighter was failing to overwhelm his opponent.

Even Dex watched closely, eyes narrowed.

"So this is Earth's strongest class of sorcerer… impressive indeed."

Though both sides used cursed energy, Earth's jujutsu was clearly more diverse.

Techniques capable of summoning multiple combat companions—

such abilities were virtually nonexistent among the Simurian people.

Compared to Earth's intricate and varied jujutsu systems,

Simurian techniques appeared almost monotonous.

"So this is what a Special Grade sorcerer from Earth looks like…"

From the sidelines, Leo squinted as he observed the battlefield.

Then, slowly, a smile formed.

"You really are exceptional."

At the center of the battlefield, Boses stomped down, shattering the metal floor beneath his foot.

Cursed energy surged violently into his fist as he swung at Divine Dog: Totality on his right.

The sheer force caused faint black lightning to crackle around his knuckles.

Seeing this, Megumi decisively dismissed the shikigami.

In an instant, Divine Dog dissolved back into shadow.

Boses' punch missed—

the unleashed cursed energy blasted forward, caving in the distant metal wall.

Seizing the moment when the shikigami vanished, Boses kicked off the ground with explosive force.

Ignoring the golden lightning raining down on him, he charged straight toward Megumi, relying purely on his physical body.

He had already grasped the nature of Megumi's technique.

A summoner-type fighter…

Which meant weak close combat.

Facing the onrushing Boses, Megumi's expression remained calm, his hand seals never breaking.

"Max Elephant."

"HRAA—!"

A colossal elephant slammed down from directly above Boses.

The sudden appearance left him no time to evade.

Pillar-like legs crushed him straight into the metal floor, his body driven deep into it.

At the same time, Max Elephant let out a deafening cry, releasing a torrential flood from its trunk, instantly submerging the entire combat chamber.

Meanwhile, Megumi leapt into the air, standing atop Nue.

"He can summon again?!"

"How many creatures can he summon?!"

The Simurian warriors stared in shock as Megumi continued to bring forth different shikigami one after another.

They had never seen a technique like this.

Among the Simurian people, summoning-type abilities did exist—but at most, one companion could be summoned.

That single summon might be powerful, but it lacked the sheer versatility and adaptability of Megumi's technique.

"If our intelligence is correct," Leo suddenly spoke, turning to Hakari Kinji,

"Fushiguro Megumi's technique is called the Ten Shadows Technique, isn't it?"

They might not possess complete intelligence on Earth's jujutsu world, but for highly active sorcerers, information was relatively easy to obtain.

"So that means," Leo continued,

"he can summon ten different entities to fight alongside him?"

The surrounding warriors were stunned.

"Ten different companions?! That technique is incredible!"

"That's… roughly correct," Hakari replied casually.

He hadn't expected the aliens to know so much about them.

"Is this kind of technique common among Earth's sorcerers?" Dex asked suddenly.

A single person commanding such power on the battlefield was effectively an army.

"If only," Hakari said honestly.

"Unfortunately, among Earth's sorcerers, he's the only one."

That kind of information was easy to verify—there was no need to hide it.

Hearing this, Dex slowly nodded, feeling a slight sense of relief.

He longed for peaceful coexistence, but if the balance of power were too uneven, that dream would be difficult to achieve.

"BOOM—!"

Suddenly, an overwhelming presence erupted from the combat chamber.

As the floodwaters receded, Boses rose from the dented metal floor.

His body was scorched and bloodied, looking far more battered than before.

He stared up at Megumi in midair—and slowly curled his lips into a smile.

Then—

the black markings on his forehead split open.

"BOOM!"

A grotesque vertical eye snapped open, unleashing a terrifying aura.

The moment Megumi met its gaze, an immense pressure crashed down on him.

His balance broke.

Even Nue seemed overwhelmed by the force, plummeting toward the ground.

Megumi tried to stabilize himself—

—but a shadow suddenly filled his vision.

Boses' massive body had already closed the distance.

Twisting his hips, he whipped his leg back and delivered a devastating kick straight into Megumi's abdomen.

The combination of raw strength and cursed energy made Megumi cough up blood.

His body flew backward like a kite with its string cut, slamming into the metal wall—embedded into it completely.

Boses gave him no chance to recover.

He blurred forward again, the monstrous eye on his forehead radiating crushing pressure as he pinned Megumi in place.

Another punch came crashing down.

Bang!

The blow forced another mouthful of blood from Megumi.

"Boses! That's enough—this is just a spar!" Dex shouted urgently.

But Boses didn't stop.

He raised his fist, aiming directly at Megumi's head.

"You're stronger than this… aren't you?"

His fist descended slowly.

Megumi's gaze remained steady.

"Piercing Ox."

A furious black bull burst from the nearby shadows, charging forward at full force.

The embodiment of raw power, Piercing Ox slammed into Boses' waist.

Its horns pierced straight through his body, launching him backward as blood sprayed through the air.

Megumi pulled himself free from the wall, pain surging through his body, and glanced at the airborne Boses.

This guy… is he a battle maniac?

"Round Deer."

A massive deer appeared, bathing Megumi in restorative energy as it healed his wounds.

This time—

he intended to fight him seriously.
