Chapter 157: A War Destined to Erupt
"Our third eye does indeed have special functions," Ria explained as she carefully covered the eye on her forehead again with the diamond-shaped seal.
"Most of our abilities can't be fully activated without its assistance."
"So cool!" Kaon exclaimed.
"That's kind of like how we jujutsu sorcerers need hand seals to cast techniques, right?"
Okkotsu Kaguya stroked his chin thoughtfully.
Hearing this, Ria nodded. "That's a fairly accurate comparison."
Gojo Kamui, however, seemed lost in thought.
"Then what exactly is your purpose for coming to Earth?"
Before Ria could answer, Itadori Yuji stepped in to cut off the discussion.
"Alright, that's enough for now," he said calmly.
"You only need to know that Ria is joining Jujutsu High as an observer."
"She's here to study human society and our way of life. They don't harbor any hostility—at least for now. Their goal is coexistence with humanity. During this period, you should all treat Ria kindly."
He paused briefly, then added with a grin,
"Since you completed the mission, you're getting two days off. Take Ria around, relax a bit, and help her experience human culture."
Hearing this, Kaon patted her chest confidently.
"Leave it to me!"
A tsundere alien girl was clearly a task best handled by her.
"That works," Itadori nodded.
"You're both girls—it'll be easier for you to get along."
"Alright, dismissed."
With a clap of his hands, the group was officially dismissed.
Kaon immediately grabbed Ria's small hand.
"Ria, you're staying at my second uncle's place for the next two days! I'll show you just how amazing life on Earth can be!"
Without giving Ria any chance to refuse, she dragged her away.
Kaon had experience dealing with tsundere girls—after all, she'd played over a hundred RPGs. She knew exactly how to handle this.
Watching the two disappear, Kamui and Kaguya exchanged glances.
"What do you think the aliens' real objective is?" Kamui asked expressionlessly.
Kaguya looked puzzled.
"Didn't Itadori-sensei already say it? They want to coexist with humans."
"Coexist?" Kamui replied, frowning.
"Then what about their own planet? Why go through all this trouble just to come to Earth?"
"There might be reasons forcing them to abandon their home," Kaguya reasoned.
Kamui shook his head slightly.
"Think about this—what happens if the existence of aliens becomes public knowledge?"
"Public?" Kaguya didn't quite follow.
"Right now, only the upper echelons of the jujutsu world and world governments know about the aliens," Kamui said calmly.
"If the entire world learns that extraterrestrials want to live alongside humanity, massive xenophobia will erupt."
He looked toward the horizon.
"And when that happens… war will be inevitable."
Hearing this, Okkotsu Kaguya froze for a moment.
"You mean…?"
"Yes," Gojo Kamui replied calmly. "The arrival of extraterrestrials could very well trigger war. Whether external or internal, it's likely only a matter of time."
"…That shouldn't happen, right?"
Kaguya's expression gradually grew serious. "If that were the case, the higher-ups should have already considered this possibility."
He paused, then sighed.
"Forget it. Overthinking won't help. I'll go ask my old man and see what he thinks."
With that, Okkotsu Kaguya decided to head home.
Kamui felt the same way and immediately turned toward his father's office.

At the same time, on the other side of the city, Zen'in Kaon had already brought Ria to her second uncle's house.
This was her closest family in the country. Whenever she wasn't staying at Jujutsu High, this was where she lived.
Fortunately, her cousin was a special-grade sorcerer, and the house was enormous—big enough to house dozens of people without issue.
"Second Uncle, I'm back!"
Kaon pushed open the gate and stepped into the courtyard, only to find Toji Fushiguro lounging in a rocking chair under the sun. Nearby, a small figure was diligently training.
"Auntie!"
Fushiguro Jirō spotted Kaon and enthusiastically greeted her.
"Practicing by yourself again, Jirō?"
"Eh? Auntie, who's this kid?"
Jirō stared at the petite girl beside Kaon. Seeing that Ria was about the same height as him, he assumed she was some lost child.
At that moment, a vein twitched on Ria's forehead.
Do I really look that much like a kid?!
She glanced down at her chest—there was some development, wasn't there?!
"Welcome back, Kaon," Toji said with a gentle smile.
"Getting used to life at Jujutsu High?"
"Totally! Being a sorcerer is super fun! We even caught a cursed user today!"
Kaon excitedly recounted the day's events.
"Wow! Auntie's amazing!" Jirō said with admiration.
"Catching a cursed user on your very first day—that's awesome!"
"Hehe."
Kaon scratched her head, a little proud, then quickly remembered something.
"Oh right! Second Uncle, this is my classmate. She'll be staying here for a couple of days. Is that okay?"
"Ah—hello, sir."
Ria greeted him awkwardly.
Since she planned to integrate into human society, she knew she had to follow human customs—when in Rome, as they said.
She had studied human cultures extensively, so interacting with people wasn't difficult.
"A classmate?"
Toji glanced at Ria with interest and nodded casually.
"That's fine."
The moment his gaze landed on her, Ria felt a chill run down her spine—as if she'd been completely seen through.
Her eyes sharpened as she studied the middle-aged man before her.
This man… is absolutely not ordinary.
"Yay! Ria, come on! I'll show you my room!"
Kaon grabbed Ria's hand and dragged her inside.
"You'll be sleeping with me for the next two days!"
Ria didn't even have time to react.
After the two girls disappeared into the house, Toji closed his eyes again and basked in the sunlight, murmuring softly:
"So this is an alien… Her soul really is different."
He was well aware of the extraterrestrial situation—after all, Megumi Fushiguro was currently handling related missions.
Fifty thousand aliens, all possessing power comparable to sorcerers.
How long until war breaks out, I wonder?
In Toji's view, conflict was inevitable.
The only unknowns were its scale—and when it would begin.
---
"Ria, let's go explore Tokyo tomorrow!"
Inside Kaon's room, she excitedly searched up travel spots and planned out their schedule.
"If we're going to have fun, we should do it properly!"
Ria glanced around at the decorations and asked curiously,
"Kaon… is your second uncle a powerful sorcerer?"
"Huh? No way," Kaon replied casually.
"He's just an ordinary person without cursed energy—same as my dad. He may look scary, but he's actually really gentle."
Even after just one day, Kaon felt that this family treated her well.
Her second uncle only looked intimidating—just like her father.
Honestly, they really were brothers.
Ria's lips twitched slightly.
A normal person without cursed energy…?
Then where did that terrifying pressure come from…?
