Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 — Predator Targets

Oban stood among the fallen wolves. Their bodies lay scattered across the stone floor, some slowly fading, others still bleeding. His chest rose and fell as he caught his breath.

The system appeared in front of him.

[ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: WOLF HUNTER][STATS INCREASED]Strength +6Agility +8Endurance +5

Oban nodded slowly. "Good."

He wiped the blood from his face and reached into his inventory. The crafting table appeared in front of him, glowing softly. As soon as it activated, multiple recipes floated in the air.

Wolf bone gear.Beast armor parts.Potion materials.

Oban's eyes stopped on one option.

"…Potion?"

An idea came to his mind.

He selected wolf flesh, refined essence, and a catalyst crystal. The crafting table reacted immediately. Light wrapped around the items as they melted together.

[SYSTEM PROCESSING…]

A small bottle formed, filled with glowing blue liquid.

[ITEM CREATED]Name: Enchantment PotionEffect: Extreme accelerationSpeed Output: 38 FPS within 0.99 seconds

Oban lifted the bottle and smiled. "Awesome item."

He turned the bottle slightly, watching the liquid move. Then he shook his head. "But I don't think I need to drink that now."

His smile slowly faded.

Rakan.

The name echoed in his mind. His active quest flickered faintly in the system interface. Oban looked at the potion again.

"…Never mind."

He opened the bottle and drank it.

The effect hit instantly.

His heart beat faster. His legs felt light. The world around him slowed, every sound stretching out unnaturally.

Oban exhaled. "So this is it."

Far away, Klein was fighting for his life.

The giant werewolf stood taller than the castle walls, its muscles thick like stone. Every swing of its arm sent shockwaves through the ground. Klein was already injured, breathing hard, his dark blade trembling in his grip.

"I can't beat it head-on…" Klein muttered.

The werewolf roared and charged again.

Klein suddenly ran—not away, but toward a broken pillar. At the last moment, he leaped aside. The werewolf followed without thinking and smashed into the pillar, cracking it.

Klein smiled slightly.

Dark energy flowed from his blade into the broken structure. The pillar collapsed, chains of shadow wrapping around the werewolf's legs and arms.

The beast struggled.

Klein appeared behind it using shadow step and drove his blade straight into its neck, releasing all stored dark energy.

The giant werewolf let out a final roar before collapsing.

Klein dropped to one knee. "That… almost killed me."

On another battlefield, Aijack clashed with the old werewolf—Rakan's uncle. Their fists collided again and again, cracking the ground beneath them.

"You still fight like a warrior," the old wolf said.

Aijack's eyes were cold. "And you still talk too much."

They attacked once more.

Meanwhile, Rakan moved toward the castle with several wolves following him. The gates loomed ahead.

Inside the castle, Allisa raised her hands. Illusion magic spread instantly. Corridors twisted. Walls shifted. Multiple fake paths appeared.

The wolves slowed, confused.

Rakan stopped.

"…Illusion," he said calmly.

His eyes glowed red.

X-RAY VISION....

Every vampire inside the castle became visible to him. Their movements. Their positions. Their fear.

Rakan smiled.

He spoke telepathically to the wolves.

"Split up. Kill them all."

The wolves obeyed instantly.

Allisa clenched her teeth. "He can see through it…"

She turned sharply. "Close the gate! Now!"

A vampire rushed forward—but Rakan appeared in front of him in an instant.

One clean strike.

The vampire was cut into two pieces.

Blood hit the floor.

Rakan stepped over the body and entered the castle with a few wolves behind him.

"Kill everyone," he ordered.

Before they could move, Allisa vanished, hiding herself in a false layer of reality.

Rakan paused.

"I can sense you."

He reached forward and grabbed her, pulling her out of the illusion.

Allisa gasped. "How—?!"

"Weaklings," Rakan said.

He struck her.

She flew into a nearby wall, blood spilling from her mouth as she fell.

But the body shattered.

An illusion.

Behind him, Allisa appeared and tried to stab him.

Rakan dodged instantly and struck her again—faster, harder.

This time, she didn't vanish.

Allisa crashed to the ground, bleeding, struggling to stand.

Rakan raised his arm. "End."

Before the third strike could land—

A blue blur appeared.

Rakan's attack stopped mid-air.

The ground cracked under sudden pressure.

Oban stood between them.

Allisa looked up, shocked. "Oban…"

Blood stained her clothes.

Oban's eyes locked onto Rakan. The system flared violently.
