Chapter 174: Not Behaving
Sasuko gave Yu no chance to speak, her soft lips gently covering his.
Yu's taste buds sensed Sasuko's unique sweetness and softness.
His hand unconsciously supported Sasuko's waist, that slender waist feeling slightly hot beneath his palm.
Sasuko took advantage to press even closer. Her softness pressed through thin fabric intimately against his chest, rising and falling lightly with somewhat rapid breathing. Each minute friction made both hearts beat faster.
Her fingertips lightly traced his nape, bringing fine trembling.
When she carefully explored inward, carrying some shyness as she entwined with him, Yu finally stopped restraining himself, taking the initiative to clasp her head, making this kiss deeper.
After quite a while, only when both were breathing unsteadily did they slowly separate.
Sasuko still clung tightly to him, cheeks crimson, chest rising and falling. She pressed her burning forehead against Yu's chest, voice carrying moisture-like trembling as she murmured softly:
"Now... I'm certain."
"Certain of what?"
"Certain this isn't a dream." Sasuko raised her face, eyes shimmering with moisture. "Also certain... Yu, you finally belong to me."
She actively kissed him again, this time carrying burning possessiveness.
Yu sensed the fervent love from the person in his arms, slowly closing his eyes, allowing himself to sink into this tenderness.
Sasuko's fingers threaded through his black hair, pulling him closer.
---
The lingering kiss gradually subsided. Sasuko's breathing remained somewhat chaotic. She nestled in Yu's embrace, cheek pressed against his chest, listening to his powerful heartbeat.
"If only it could always be like this." She said softly.
Yu gently stroked her long hair without responding.
Just then, he sensed Mikoto's chakra approaching.
"Sasuko," he reminded softly, "Mother is returning."
Sasuko pouted reluctantly yet still obediently rose from his lap.
Her originally neat kimono collar had loosened slightly, exposing beautifully lined collarbones.
Smooth black hair somewhat messily draped over her shoulders, several strands resting on her forehead. Her kiss-swollen lips glistened with moisture, eye corners still carrying unfaded crimson.
As Sasuko lowered her head to tidy her collar, her fingers trembled slightly. The sash took several attempts to barely arrange properly.
"Yu~ It's all your fault..." She complained softly.
During their earlier kiss, Yu's hands hadn't been entirely well-behaved.
They'd wandered up and down, carrying warm kneading.
As a result, she still felt somewhat weak, her body unable to muster strength.
However, Sasuko only complained lowly once. How could she truly blame him? After all, it was Yu...
She pressed her lips together, recalling the earlier intimate touch in her mind. Heat involuntarily surged to her ear tips, cheeks blooming with crimson.
Yu watched her appearance, feeling somewhat embarrassed, saying softly, "Sorry... wasn't paying attention."
Sasuko watched Yu's awkward expression, her eyes and brows curving. She moved closer again, lightly pecking his cheek before pattering quickly back to her room.
She couldn't let Mother see her current appearance—even without looking in a mirror, she knew from ear tips to neck, she'd probably flushed completely.
Yu sat on the bench, fingers lightly stroking his cheek that still retained moist touch, unconsciously smiling.
Yet his smile gradually faded. He gazed toward Sasuko's closed door, eyes gradually settling, a deep color surfacing.
When Mikoto entered the courtyard carrying a basket full of ingredients, what she saw was Yu sitting alone on the bench.
"Little Yu, why are you alone? Where's Sasuko?" She looked around before asking warmly.
"She returned to her room." Yu rose to take the heavy items from Mikoto's hands, expression recovering its usual composure. "You bought so many groceries today?"
"Thinking of making you all something good." Mikoto smiled while studying him. "You two got along well today?"
"Yes, Sasuko is... very understanding."
Mikoto watched Yu's appearance, her eyes turning slightly. "Then Yu, you must treat Sasuko well."
Yu's expression shifted—had Mother noticed something?
Yet he still nodded slightly.
Mikoto smiled even more warmly, reaching out to straighten Yu's crooked collar before carrying the basket of groceries into the kitchen.
Sasuko, who'd returned to her room, was currently leaning against the door panel, hands covering her burning cheeks. She heard Mother and Yu's conversation from downstairs. Only then did her heartbeat gradually calm.
"Idiot Yu..." She murmured softly.
Sasuko carefully tidied her appearance before the mirror, fingertips lightly stroking her lips that still carried tingling sensation. The maiden in the mirror still had lingering spring in her eyes and brows, making her blush again.
She heard Mother busily working in the kitchen downstairs, plus Yu's occasional warm responses. This ordinary daily life made warmth well in her heart yet also carried some nervousness about being caught doing bad things.
A strange thrilling sensation. Secretly doing such things with Yu while parents were away felt oddly exhilarating.
Just as she practiced calm expressions before the mirror, Mother's gentle call came from outside. "Sasuko, come down and help Mother prepare dinner."
Sasuko hastily responded, checking her attire one final time. After confirming nothing looked abnormal, she opened the door and went downstairs.
Entering the kitchen, Sasuko walked to Mother's side, standing at attention, hands behind her back, obediently saying, "Mother, what do you need me to do?"
Mikoto handed her a basket of vegetables, glancing at her face yet saying nothing more, casually saying, "Wash these."
Sasuko accepted the vegetable basket, ear tips slightly burning. She could sense Mother's examining gaze, feeling like being caught doing bad things as a child.
While washing ingredients, recalling the earlier intimacy in the courtyard, her movements unconsciously slowed.
"Sasuko," Mikoto suddenly spoke, "are the vegetables washed?"
She snapped back to awareness, hastily accelerating her movements. "Ready soon!"
Mikoto watched her daughter's absent-minded appearance and slightly reddened cheeks, more or less able to guess...
But at this point, the children had grown. What could she say?
"How's it been getting along with Yu recently?" Mikoto suddenly asked, her kitchen knife still efficiently chopping radishes.
Sasuko's movements paused. "Pre-pretty good." She tried making her voice sound natural. "Same as usual."
Mikoto hummed lightly without pursuing further.
Sasuko quietly sighed with relief yet heard Mother speak again, tone reminiscent. "Yu, though always keeping things in his heart, his kindness toward you is genuine. It's been there since you were very small."
These words warmed Sasuko's heart, making her unable to help raising her eyes toward Mother.
Mikoto was smiling at her, eyes gentle.
"I-I know." Sasuko hastily lowered her head, working hard at washing vegetables, acting as though nothing had happened.
Now where couldn't she tell Mother had already noticed the signs—just like childhood, she couldn't hide any little lie from Mother.
Mikoto watched her younger daughter's shy appearance without teasing her further. These words were merely reminding her daughter to understand moderation.
After all, she and Yu were still very young. The road ahead was still long.
