Both of them had incredibly powerful backgrounds.

"Alright, listen up. According to this information, the seven members of the opposing team have a very well-rounded formation. The two you need to watch out for the most are their captain and vice-captain: the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Spirit Master and the Jade Phosphor Serpent Spirit Master."
"Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon," Zhao Wuji muttered behind him, repeating the names. "Jade Phosphor Serpent."
A moment later, his expression shifted as if he had just realized something. He stared at Flender, who continued to address the students.
"The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon is a top-tier Beast Spirit," Flender explained. "It has extremely powerful attack power, earning it the title of the strongest attacking Beast Spirit. Its status among Beast Spirits is similar to Rongrong's Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda among support-type Spirits. As for this Jade Phosphor Serpent Spirit Master… the fact that she's a control-type reminds me of someone. Zhao Wuji, do you remember who I'm talking about?"
Zhao Wuji's earlier suspicion was now practically confirmed. "You don't mean… him, do you?"
Flender nodded grimly. "I do."

Flender's expression turned serious. "The Jade Phosphor Serpent Spirit, much like the Spirits of the great clans on the continent, is exceptionally rare. However, in all of history, there has only ever been one famous Spirit Master with a Jade Phosphor Serpent. He's a very special control-type Spirit Master. To be more precise, he should be called the Jade Phosphor Douluo. I'm sure some of you have heard that name."
Isn't that just the Poison Douluo, Dugu Bo? Huo Feng thought. He was, of course, very familiar with the name, but to avoid suspicion, he put on a look of surprise just like the others.
The rest of the team was not as composed.

Flender gave a bitter smile. "Besides the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, I've never heard of any other Spirit Masters possessing that Spirit. The background of this team is terrifyingly strong. But with two support types on their own team, including Ning Rongrong's Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, he wasn't too worried about being outmatched in that department.
Ning Rongrong, however, looked completely serious. "I know about the Nine Heart Begonia Spirit. Unlike other Spirits, it's passed down through a single line; each generation can only have one successor. At any given time, there can only be two Nine Heart Begonia Spirit Masters alive in the entire world. A new one can only appear after one of them dies. It's probably the rarest Spirit in existence. My father once told me that the Nine Heart Begonia is a miracle among Spirits."
Everyone knew who Ning Rongrong's father was. He was the Sect Master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, the highest authority on support-type Spirit Masters. If he held a Spirit in such high regard, its abilities must be truly extraordinary.
Flender's brow furrowed. "Then what exactly does it do? What kind of support does it provide?"
Ning Rongrong answered in a low voice, "The Nine Heart Begonia specializes in only one thing. No matter how many Spirit Rings its user has, they will only ever have one Spirit Ability. That's what makes it so terrifying. Its ability is area-of-effect healing for their entire team. The amount of healing is controlled by the Spirit Master's will, and the more spirit power they use, the stronger the healing effect becomes. My father said that as long as a Nine Heart Begonia Spirit Master is on the field, it's almost impossible for their allies to die. So, once the match starts, we have to take her out first. Otherwise, we won't be able to do any lasting damage to our opponents until her spirit power is completely drained."
