Theo checks his phone and sees several missed calls from the day he went to Mt. Helene. Then nothing after that.
That's weird. Not even Leila called me. Again, what's going on?
He also notices the timestamp. It has been a little over four days since the missed calls.
I slept for two days? And no one bothered me?
He crosses the room to check the lock on the door, but stops in front of the full-length mirror. He remembers his illusion.
He approaches the mirror and casts the Theo illusion.
"Hey you. I remember you," he whispers.
Seeing his own face unexpectedly brings emotion surging up. His eyes sting.
"I'm sorry that you died. And I'm sorry if it seems like I've forgotten about you. Don't worry. I haven't. Seeing you now means I haven't forgotten."
He exhales slowly.
"I'll bring you out more often. There'll be no more Aldriana."
Theo smiles.
Then he removes the illusion. Slowly, Thea appears.
Theo studies Thea's face and frowns.
