Chapter 89 - DSPH Chapter 92: Each Other's Requests

The demon sake could let demons taste the sake, but it couldn't get them drunk.

The alcohol was broken down quickly.

But Tamayo felt a little drunk.

Aoki could fight Muzan, and she had the poison.

The hope of revenge was within reach!

The joy was overwhelming. She felt unreal.

"Madam Tamayo, I have another request," Aoki said.

Tamayo focused, looking at Aoki gently. "Please, Mr. Aoki."

She would agree to anything if it meant defeating Muzan, even if Aoki wanted to use her as a sacrifice.

Aoki took out a few blood samples. It was the Kamado family's blood.

Tamayo sniffed. "This is... human blood?"

Yushiro looked too.

He and Madam Tamayo lived on blood. They were sensitive to the smell of human blood.

"Yes, it's from some special people," Aoki said.

Tamayo looked at Aoki, waiting for him to explain.

Aoki picked out Tanjiro's blood, then Nezuko's. "They have great demon potential. These two are the best. The first one is much better than the second."

"Great demon potential?"

Tamayo repeated Aoki's words.

Aoki picked up Tanjiro's blood. "His talent is much greater than Muzan's!"

Demons had talent.

Some demons became Upper Moons. Some only became Lower Moons. Most demons couldn't even become Lower Moons.

Demon talent was measured by how much Muzan's blood they could handle.

Muzan's blood made demons stronger, but too much would destroy them.

Tanjiro had easily handled all of Muzan's blood and overcome sunlight instantly.

His demon talent was unmatched.

"Greater than Muzan?"

Tamayo's eyes narrowed. She understood what Mr. Aoki meant by "demon" talent.

Aoki said, "So, I hope you can study these blood samples and try to unlock their secrets."

Tamayo thought for a moment. "That will be hard.

I don't know how you know they have great demon potential, but human blood and demon blood are different.

Unless he becomes a demon, we can't find anything special in his blood."

"It's okay. Just try when you have time. It doesn't matter if you can't," Aoki said.

It was just a long shot. It would be good if it worked, but it wasn't a loss if it didn't.

He was close to becoming the ultimate being. Unlocking Tanjiro's blood's secrets might not help him.

"I understand!" Tamayo carefully put away the blood samples.

"One more thing," Aoki said.

He briefly explained his partnership with the Demon Slayer Corps and the space marks.

"I was wondering if I should talk to the Demon Slayer Corps, but you're already working with them," Tamayo said.

Tamayo admired Aoki's approach. It matched her idea of "gathering the power of more people."

"The leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Ubuyashiki family, is talented and brave," Aoki said.

He took out a space mark and gave it to Tamayo.

There were two requirements for placing a space mark: secrecy and safety.

It was hard to find a place like that in a big city like Asakusa.

Madam Tamayo's house was the best choice.

"Don't worry, Mr. Aoki. I'll keep it safe," Tamayo said, putting the space mark away.

Aoki looked at the sky. "It's getting late. I should go."

"Please wait!"

Tamayo stood up and left.

She returned with three shuttle-shaped devices. "This is for you, Mr. Aoki."

"What are these?" Aoki had a guess.

Tamayo bit her lip. "This is the poison I made. It will spread quickly if it pierces Muzan. There are three doses."

Aoki took them seriously.

This was key to defeating Muzan.

He might not be able to kill Muzan even at max level without this.

Tamayo said, "I'll keep trying to develop stronger poisons. I'll tell you if I find anything."

"Okay!"

Aoki nodded.

He thought this poison was perfect.

Tamayo and Shinobu had created a poison with four effects in the original story.

Turning demons human, aging, stopping splitting, and destroying cells.

Turning demons human used Nezuko's blood, which could overcome eating humans and sunlight. They didn't have that now.

The other three effects were there. The cell destruction effect was first.

It wasn't a coincidence. Those effects were best against Muzan.

Tamayo and Shinobu had chosen those effects in the original story.

Tamayo had chosen those effects even without Shinobu's help.

It would weaken Muzan if they could use it on him.

"I have something to ask you too, Mr. Aoki," Tamayo said seriously.

"Please, Madam Tamayo," Aoki said.

Tamayo said, "Please tell me when you're going to attack Muzan. Let me help. I can help!"

Aoki looked at her.

He knew Tamayo wanted to die.

Her heart had died after she killed her husband and children.

Her only goal in life was to avenge them.

"Okay. I'll let you see Muzan die," Aoki said. "But I have one last request."

"Please tell me," Tamayo said, smiling gently and gracefully, hiding her sadness.

"You know about the blue spider lily?" Aoki asked.

Tamayo's face changed slightly. "Yes. Do you mean...?"

"I found the blue spider lily," Aoki said.

Tamayo looked worried. She grabbed Aoki's hand. "Where is it? Can Muzan find it?"

Aoki said, "Don't worry. Muzan can't find the blue spider lily.

It only blooms on the days with the strongest sunlight.

Those days are over this year. Even if Muzan finds it, he can't get the blue spider lily!"

Tamayo relaxed. "What do you want to do?"

Aoki said, "I want to overcome sunlight. I hope you can research a medicine after I get the blue spider lily."

Tamayo realized. She stared at him.

Aoki added, "The blue spider lily is precious. There might only be a few in the world. It needs someone with great medical skill and someone I trust. You're the only one."

Kanae and Shinobu were skilled doctors too.

But they were human.

He trusted Tamayo more.

Tamayo was silent. After a moment, she smiled.

"Okay!"

"Then it's settled!" Aoki said.

Yushiro stepped between them, looking at their hands, his face twisting.

"It's almost dawn. Aren't you leaving?"
