Chapter 87 - DSPH Chapter 89: Trust

"Sound Pillar!"

A Hidden member opened the gate, and Tengen Uzui walked in.

Soon, a young man with short hair and terrible scars on his face appeared. He was walking slowly, supported by a beautiful woman.

"Master!"

Tengen Uzui knelt on one knee.

"You're here, Tengen!"

Kagaya Ubuyashiki stopped and turned to Tengen Uzui, his voice gentle and kind.

Tengen Uzui stood up. "Master, the arrangements you asked for are ready. We can start moving now."

Kagaya Ubuyashiki shook his head gently. "That won't be necessary."

"Not necessary?" Tengen Uzui looked puzzled.

Amane Ubuyashiki took out a report and handed it to him.

Tengen Uzui read it quickly, his eyes widening. "Master, is this true?"

"Kanae sent the report herself," Kagaya Ubuyashiki said.

"So, Aoki not only came back safely, but he killed Upper Moon Three and the new Upper Moon Six while being attacked by Muzan and five Upper Moons?"

Tengen Uzui gasped. "What a flamboyant feat!"

Kagaya Ubuyashiki was impressed.

They had prepared a lot for the new Upper Moon Six. It was all useless now.

Who would have thought an Upper Moon could die so easily?

They hadn't killed an Upper Moon for over a hundred years before this.

Tengen's excitement faded. He thought of something. "Master, isn't Aoki getting too strong too fast?"

Kagaya Ubuyashiki said calmly, "Tengen, it's good that Mr. Aomura is getting stronger. We should trust our allies."

Tengen Uzui wasn't the first to ask this.

He understood the members' worries.

Could Mr. Aomura become another Muzan? He couldn't deny it was possible.

If that happened, their actions would be helping evil.

But how could they defeat Muzan without taking risks?

Too many people had died because of demons for thousands of years. The Demon Slayer Corps had sacrificed too much.

He was willing to take any risk to end Muzan.

Besides, Mr. Aomura had been fine so far, except for being a little violent towards evil people.

"I understand, Master!"

Tengen Uzui said.

He hadn't interacted with Aoki much. He still had doubts, but he trusted Master's judgment.

"Thank you for your trust, Master Ubuyashiki," a voice said.

Tengen Uzui looked shocked. He stood in front of Kagaya Ubuyashiki.

Aoki walked out of the shadows.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I just happened to be here."

He had learned Body Control. He was better at hiding his presence. He had surprised Tengen Uzui.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki patted Tengen Uzui's arm, telling him to relax. He looked at Aoki, smiling gently. "I hope you don't mind, Mr. Aomura. Tengen has seen too many demons hurt people. He's wary."

"It's natural. I understand!"

Aoki said.

He had expected the Demon Slayer Corps to be wary of his strength.

He was different from Tamayo and Yushiro.

He didn't worry too much about it.

It was the Demon Slayer Corps' problem.

He was willing to part ways if Kagaya Ubuyashiki ended their partnership.

He had gained a lot during this time.

"Thank you," Kagaya Ubuyashiki smiled. "Kanae said you wanted to talk to me, Mr. Aomura?"

"I have a new ability," Aoki said.

He explained Space Mark Traverse and added, "So, I hope the Demon Slayer Corps can give me more information about demons!"

Kagaya Ubuyashiki looked serious. He thought for a few seconds. "If you don't mind working hard, Mr. Aomura, we can focus more on gathering information and let you kill the demons!"

"I'm okay with that!"

Aoki said quickly.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki's decision was good and bad for the Demon Slayer Corps.

The good thing was that the Demon Slayers' death rate would decrease.

Fighting demons was dangerous. Ordinary members risked their lives in every battle.

The bad thing was that it would disrupt the Demon Slayer Corps' system.

They had been partners before. Now, the Demon Slayer Corps would rely on him.

Aoki understood.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki needed courage to make this decision. He was also showing his trust, making up for Tengen Uzui's words.

Aoki took out a piece of paper with a complex silver diamond pattern.

"Master Ubuyashiki, please take this."

Amane Ubuyashiki took it and handed it to Kagaya Ubuyashiki. He touched the paper, looking puzzled. "Mr. Aomura, what's this?"

"A space mark symbol," Aoki said. "If you're in danger, tear this paper. I can get there quickly."

He was returning the favor.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki was a great partner.

Tengen Uzui's eyes lit up.

Master's safety was their priority.

But Master wouldn't let Pillars protect him.

If Mr. Aomura was telling the truth, they wouldn't need to worry about Master's safety anymore.

No demon could threaten Master, unless Muzan came himself.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki was interested, but he thought of something else. "Is this how Space Mark Traverse works, Mr. Aomura?

Can we give one to the members who gather information? Then you can get there quickly when they find a demon."

Aoki had thought of that. "I'll make some later, but it's hard to make space marks. I can't give one to everyone."

"Even a few would help!" Kagaya Ubuyashiki said seriously. "We'll make sure they're used well!"

They had a good plan, but it was just a plan.

Aoki hadn't made enough space marks yet. They couldn't start.

But they could prepare.

They could change the Demon Slayer Corps.

That's why Aoki had come to Kagaya Ubuyashiki.
