Chapter 133 - The First Counterattack

The night sky over Delhi shimmered with restless energy. Deep inside the newly fortified Ahir command center, Aghav sat at the head of the table, his fingers steepled, eyes narrowed at the data flowing across the central screen. Every line pointed to the same truth: Savita had struck back.

The first blow came in silence. Financial channels in Singapore and Dubai—accounts the Ahir network had reclaimed—suddenly showed massive anomalies. The money didn't vanish outright, but instead was funneled into a maze of false companies and shell accounts. It was a clear message: I'm not done yet.

Soon after, whispers rippled through their informants. Minor operatives loyal to Savita had begun stirring chaos—planting misinformation, sabotaging supply lines, and attempting to lure Ahir allies into ambushes. It wasn't a full-scale war, not yet, but it was a calculated strike designed to test defenses.

"She's baiting us," Aghav said, breaking the silence. His voice was calm, but the weight behind it silenced the room. "She wants us chasing shadows while she rebuilds her web."

Selene leaned forward, her eyes sharp. "This isn't random. Look at the timing. Each disruption is tied to the sectors she once controlled. She's probing for weaknesses."

Across the table, Mukul clenched his fists. "So we stop playing defense. We cut off her escape before she rebuilds." His fiery determination contrasted with Aghav's cool precision.

Anaya placed a steady hand on Mukul's arm. "Not so fast. If we overextend, she'll trap us. We've seen how cunning she can be."

Avni, joining through a secure holographic feed, nodded gravely. "Your sister is right. Savita thrives on desperation. She knows she can't outmatch us in open conflict, so she'll twist her strikes to exploit our emotions, our trust in one another."

A map of India lit up on the wall, red markers highlighting areas where Savita's operatives had resurfaced. Mumbai. Jaipur. Hyderabad. Scattered attacks, small but precise.

"She's making us divide our forces," said Valen Dusk, his analytical tone steady. "Classic asymmetric warfare. If we split up, she wins."

"Then we don't split," Ryker Vahn added. "We unify. Consolidate resources. Choke her out one region at a time."

For a moment, silence hung in the room. Everyone looked toward Aghav. His expression didn't waver, but his mind was already ten steps ahead.

"She has one advantage left," he said finally. "Fear. She wants us reactive. That ends tonight. From this moment, we operate not as defenders, but as hunters."

Selene's lips curved into a subtle smile. "Then we set the trap."

The plan began to form. Mukul and Anaya would spearhead reconnaissance, using their cousins' hacking and infiltration skills to trace Savita's new cells. Valen would monitor cyber activity across her hidden accounts, setting digital snares to reveal her movements. Ryker would lock down trade routes and financial exchanges, ensuring no funds could move without their notice.

And Aghav himself would take the fight directly to her shadow operatives. He knew Savita—her habits, her pride, her flaws. Where others saw chaos, he saw a pattern. And every pattern had a breaking point.

As the family dispersed to prepare, Selene lingered by Aghav's side. "She won't go quietly," she murmured.

"No," Aghav replied, his gaze fixed on the glowing map. "But neither will we. This time, Savita will learn the difference between survival and victory."

Somewhere in the shadows, Savita was already smiling, convinced her counterstrike had unsettled them. But the Ahirs were no longer fractured pieces of a broken family. They were one force, united.

And they were ready.
