Chapter 22 - (R18) CHAPTER 22

A breathless laugh escaped Reina, the sound strange and wonderful to her own ears. The raw need in Jane's whispered plea, the uncharacteristic vulnerability in her crimson eyes, flipped a switch deep within her. The hunted became the hunter.

"My turn," Reina murmured, her voice husky with spent passion and newfound resolve.

With a fluid, powerful motion that surprised even herself, she reversed their positions. Jane's eyes widened a fraction, a flicker of shock quickly melting into dark, intrigued pleasure as she found herself on her back, the moss cushioning her fall. Reina now loomed above her, her brunette hair forming a curtain around their faces.

Reina didn't ask. She took. She claimed Jane's mouth in a searing kiss, swallowing the vampire's soft gasp. Her hands, no longer tentative or exploring, were sure and demanding. They mapped the impossible coolness of Jane's shoulders, the sharp blades of her collarbones, before sliding down to cup the perfect, marble-smooth swell of her breasts. Her thumbs brushed over the hardened peaks, and Jane's back arched off the ground, a choked moan vibrating against Reina's lips.

The intoxicating power she felt was immense. To render this ancient, fearsome creature a writhing, wanting mess was a thrill unlike any other. Reina trailed her mouth down Jane's jaw, her throat, pausing to lave and suckle at a spot above her racing pulse until a faint, pearlescent mark bloomed on the alabaster skin. A possessive claim.

"Reina," Jane breathed, her voice strained, her fingers digging into the dirt beside her head.

Not yet, Reina thought, the words a silent promise conveyed through her touch. She continued her descent, worshipping Jane's body with her lips and tongue, relearning the landscape she had only just discovered. She paid homage to the flat plane of her stomach, the sharp curve of her hips, until she was nestled between Jane's thighs.

Jane was already glistening, the evidence of her own desire and Reina's earlier attentions slick on her skin. The scent, cool and sweet like frost flowers, filled Reina's senses, and she groaned, nuzzling the sensitive skin of her inner thigh. She felt Jane tremble.

Then, Reina shifted. She didn't lower her head. Instead, she moved up, aligning their bodies perfectly. She slid one leg over Jane's hip, then the other, settling herself so their centers met, a hot, slick point of contact that made them both gasp in unison.

Jane's eyes flew open, the crimson depths burning with sudden, fierce understanding. This. This was what Reina wanted.

Reina braced her hands on either side of Jane's head, her body bowed over the vampire's. She began to move, a slow, rocking grind that created an exquisite, building friction. The hard nub of Jane's clitoris pressed perfectly against her own with every roll of her hips, a dual-point of pleasure so intense it was nearly blinding.

A sharp, broken sound was torn from Jane's throat. Her hands flew to Reina's hips, her grip iron-strong, but she didn't try to guide or control. She simply held on, her fingers pressing into yielding flesh as if Reina were the only solid thing in a dissolving world.

Reina lost herself in the rhythm, in the symphony of their shared sensations. The slick, hot slide of their most intimate flesh. The cool, hard strength of Jane's body beneath her. The ragged, synchronized sounds of their breathing. She looked down, watching the masterpiece of ecstasy unravel on Jane's face—the parted lips, the fluttering eyelids, the beautiful, agonized tension in every flawless feature.

"Look at me," Reina commanded softly, her voice thick with her own rising climax.

Jane's eyes opened, glazed and unfocused, but they locked onto Reina's. The connection was absolute. In that gaze, Reina saw centuries of cold isolation shatter. She saw surrender not born of weakness, but of devastating, overwhelming trust.

The pace increased. The rocking became more urgent, more frantic. Reina could feel her own end approaching, a white-hot coil tightening deep within her core, mirrored by the frantic clenching of Jane's muscles beneath her. She could feel the tremors starting in Jane's thighs, a prelude to the earthquake.

"Now, Jane. Come for me," Reina whispered, her voice a raw command.

It was the final catalyst. Jane's back arched violently off the ground, a silent scream shaping her mouth as her release tore through her. The convulsions of her pleasure pulsed against Reina, triggering Reina's own shattering climax instantly. Wave after wave of sensation ripped through them both, a feedback loop of ecstasy that left them clinging to each other, blind and deaf to everything but the cataclysm they created together.

The aftershocks seemed to last an eternity. They collapsed together in a tangled, damp heap of limbs, the only sound their harsh, ragged breathing slowly returning to normal. Reina's head was nestled in the crook of Jane's neck, her body humming with a deep, sated warmth. Jane's arms were wrapped around her, holding her with a possessiveness that felt, for the first time, like protection rather than imprisonment.

Long minutes passed in the silent, fragrant clearing. Finally, Jane stirred. Her cool fingers gently traced the line of Reina's spine. "No one… has ever…" she began, her voice unusually soft, the words trailing off as if she couldn't quite articulate the totality of the experience.

Reina lifted her head, meeting Jane's gaze. The vulnerability was back, but it was quieter now, a shared secret. She smiled, a slow, lazy smile. "I know."

They reluctantly untangled themselves. The cool night air felt startling on their feverish skin. They dressed in a comfortable silence, their movements slow and languid. Jane handed Reina her shirt, her fingers brushing against Reina's in a caress that was as intimate as any kiss. When they were fully clothed, Jane reached out and took Reina's hand, lacing their fingers together. The simple gesture felt more significant than anything that had come before.

Together, they walked out of the forest, the dark trees parting to reveal the lights of the Cullen house in the distance. The confrontation, the wolves, the tension—it all felt like a lifetime ago, muted by the profound connection now thrumming between them.

As they approached the open meadow separating the forest from the house, a figure stepped out of the shadows near the porch. It was Carlisle, his expression unreadable from this distance, but his posture was watchful.

Jane's grip on Reina's hand tightened almost imperceptibly, one that promised everything and nothing all at once.
