Nathalie slightly curled her red lips at Leon, revealing a smile, then turned and walked away in her high heels, her waist swaying as enchantingly as a willow.
It took a long time for Julien to take his eyes off the woman's back. He said to Leon, full of envy, "She has never even looked at the rest of us. But she's very enthusiastic towards you. It seems that being handsome really makes you popular with women."
Leon watched her go as well.
Before, he had not been interested in developing any relationship. He had been broke, and a man with empty pockets had nothing to offer a woman. But now that he had money, he felt confident, and he was much more willing to accept Nathalie's feelings.
Julien continued, "The way she looked at you just now, it's obvious she's interested in you. Give it a try, Boss."
As night fell, the bar gradually came alive.
Smoke, alcohol, music, a bustling crowd, filled with an atmosphere of extravagance, frivolity and debauchery.
Seemingly sensing that Leon was observing her, Nathalie turned her head to look at Leon. Their eyes met, and Nathalie gave Leon a charming smile before turning back to chat with the other people.
This woman was seducing him.
Leon walked over.
"Your drinks are on me tonight, as an apology for the other night!" Leon spoke softly.
Nathalie blinked her beautiful eyes. "Then, could I trouble you to take me home?"
"It's so late that it's hard to get a taxi, and it's not very safe!"
Leon was slightly stunned. So you mean to say I'm safer?
Being handsome really does allow one to do whatever they want.
Looks are everything!
That night, Leon had taken on four people alone and even pulled out a knife, nearly cutting off Bruno's family jewels.
Such a ruthless man represented safety in Nathalie's eyes.
Leon didn't know what was going through this woman's head, but he certainly wasn't going to turn down such a good thing.
Leaving the bar, the two of them got into Leon's car.
He had just bought this car two days ago; it wasn't anything fancy, just a fairly ordinary Citroën that cost him a little over twenty thousand francs.
With what he had taken from Ferrand and what he had earned from the grain, he had more than enough to buy a luxury car.
But Leon felt it was unnecessary; he was in the early stages of his career and needed to concentrate his resources on big things.
Once he truly had money, he would want luxury cars, helicopters, and yachts—all of it.
So, he bought an ordinary car to serve as a temporary means of transport.
As soon as they got in, Nathalie took the front passenger seat, leaned closer and gave Leon an address.
"What do you do for a living?" After leaving the parking lot, Leon began chatting with her.
"I'm not telling. Why don't you guess?" Nathalie said.
"Hmm..."
Leon pretended to ponder before saying slowly, "You're so beautiful, with such a great temperament and a top-tier figure with how smart you are."
"I bet you work in a bank!"
"Ah! How did you know?" Nathalie's mouth dropped open in surprise, her eyes full of wonder.
She had never told Leon about her job!
"It was just a guess! Looks like I was right!" Leon said as if it were obvious.
Inwardly, he chuckled; Dmitri had complained about "those bank people" for half the night.
"You're amazing!" Nathalie laughed, and her hand came to rest lightly on his arm. "Handsome, good with his fists, and clever too. Is there anything you can't do?"
"I can't say no to a beautiful woman," Leon said.
"Good. Remember that you said so."
At that moment, Leon gave her a look.
This beauty was a real stunner, mature and sexy.
The hint couldn't have been more obvious!
They had been chatting, and twenty minutes later, the car stopped in front of a residential building.
"This is your place? It's quite nice!"
Leon said, looking at the apartment building in front of him.
"It's alright," Nathalie said, not dwelling on the apartment. Instead, she looked at Leon with her beautiful eyes and asked.
"Want to come up for a drink?"
"Won't it be an intrusion?"
"Not at all. I live here alone, and it's so dark, I'm actually a bit scared!"
The car was parked in the street, and the two walked into the building together.
The lights on the second floor came on, casting shadows against the window curtains. A man sat on the sofa drinking wine while the sound of running water came from the bathroom.
Before long, the sound of water stopped. Everything was so natural and harmonious!
Morning!
Sunlight streamed into the room, hitting the large white bed.
The man and woman were sleeping soundly; after all, they hadn't finished their battle until nearly dawn.
The sunlight fell on Nathalie's messy dark hair.
The quilt slipped down, revealing smooth, perfect curves. Nathalie was twenty-two now, at the age of brilliant blooming, beautiful to the point of being irresistible.
Thinking of the various madness of last night, Nathalie's face turned red. She didn't know what had come over her; she had never been so bold with a man.
Perhaps, from the moment she invited Leon up for a drink, she had already prepared herself!
After all, in her view, Leon was young, handsome, humorous, and most importantly, dependable.
Later that morning, Leon left Nathalie's apartment and drove to meet Julien and Thierry. As soon as they spotted him, they hurried over with knowing grins.
"Boss, did you spend the night at Nathalie's?" Julien asked with a teasing glint in his eye.
Thierry, too, watched him eagerly, looking for signs of the gossip.
Leon nodded, nonchalantly. "Yeah."
"Wow!" the two exclaimed in unison.
"Yeah, she's a real beauty. Just thinking about it is something else," Thierry added, a dreamy expression crossing his face.
Leon rolled his eyes and swatted them both on the head. "Cut the nonsense. We're wasting time. Let's get to the warehouse and pick up the goods. Did you get all the paperwork sorted?"
