Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 - Naughty Child

The room smelled faintly of ink and dust. Ryotaro sat alone, back straight in a leather chair, the faint glow of the monitor reflecting against his face. Piles of documents lay across the desk—some stamped with GCPD seals, others blurred from underground informants. He picked up a photograph: a grainy shot of Slade Wilson,Deathstroke walking with a man in Penguin's employ. In the background, blurry shapes of young women chained together.

He let out a long, tired sigh.

'System,' he muttered in his thoughts, 'show my status.'

A cold, artificial tone responded immediately in his mind.

'Tell me the dimensional energy I had.'

[48%, host. Do you want to start the mission in another world again?]

'Not now. I need to go somewhere. I got some information and need to verify.'

On the desk, pinned under his fingers, was a red-marked map. Blüdhaven.

"One year," Ryotaro whispered. "It's been one year since it started….."

Night, Gotham Port, as one of the most important economic and trade ports in the United States, Gotham Port is in operation all year round. In this port, there are hundreds of billions of transactions on the white side every year, and in the dark, there are also unknown black transactions, reaching trillions of levels. As Batman, who prevents this city from completely falling, is also a frequent visitor to Gotham Port.

As a city without sunshine all year round, the sky above Gotham is always covered with dark clouds. On a building near Gotham Port, a lightning bolt flashed across the night sky, illuminating two figures, one large and one small, standing on the gargoyle architecture on the outer edge of the building. The capes behind them were blown by the wind, fluttering and crackling. Watching the truck driving out of Gotham Port, the two figures silently fired grappling hooks towards another building, drifting and chasing the truck leaving Gotham Port.

"Look, what did our Kovar bring us? Wow, very authentic goods." The truck stopped in an abandoned residential building. Two guys with fleshy faces skillfully opened the door of the truck, took a look, and closed it, commenting to Kovar in the driver's seat.

"Pay attention, this may be the last batch of goods. I heard that Mittle, who supplied us, has fallen. Before Mittle tells us the supply channels and the next home, you better save it."

Kovar, who was in charge of driving, understood the nature of the guards here, and couldn't help but remind them a few words.

"I know, I know, we'll pay attention. One or two is no problem, right?" The guard said with a smile on his face.

"It's best to be one or two. If there are more, I can pretend I didn't see it, but you can explain it to Mr. Penguin yourself."

"Okay, guys, endure it recently. Don't mess with this batch of goods. If you really can't help it, take money from me and find someone else."

Knowing the importance of this batch of goods, the guard in charge also reminded his subordinates who were busy in the house. The subordinates who were preparing to unload and inspect the goods also responded in unison, continuing their work. As the truck's hatch door opened, they also saw the true face of this batch of goods. Girls of different skin colors from all over the world were all tied up and locked inside. The clothes on their bodies were already tattered, and the cargo hold also smelled of excrement.

These girls, who should have been blooming like flowers in their youth, were now opening their terrified eyes, looking at these villains walking towards them. These bastards actually used human beings as goods to buy and sell, trade, and even use them to vent their animal desires! Looking at the only five guys walking towards them, these girls with their hands and feet tied could not do too much resistance.

Days of starvation left them with not much ability to resist, but it was already difficult to keep themselves awake. Seeing these guys coming over, the girls who knew what they were about to encounter all screamed.

"Be quick! Quickly take out the sick ones and call Jack to treat them. Lock the others in the cellar and just don't let them starve."

The two guards in charge here frowned and reminded their subordinates. Just then, the lights went out, and the door was closed by an unknown force. The five guys in the cargo hold were grabbed by an invisible hand and flew directly outside, and the door of the cargo hold was closed when they flew out.

Then, there was a burst of short screams and bone breaking sounds. When the lights came on again, the guard in charge here and his subordinates had become a pile of useless people, with irregular twists in their hands and feet. The guy who attacked them also revealed his face, a black battle suit, and the bat-shaped masked indicated his identity, the Dark Knight of Gotham, the brain of the Justice League, Batman.

And the small figure next to him, a red and black tactical suit, a cloak connected to a hood, a samurai sword on his back, and the arm guards on his hands were exactly the same as Batman's. The R-letter on the left chest also indicated his identity, Robin.

"Even if we send these guys to prison, things like this will still happen," Robin said to Batman, looking at the closed cargo hold, without much respect in his voice.

"Let Gordon handle it," Batman didn't answer, just explained what to do next.

"Maybe we should catch that Mittle and make him confess the next home and the supply channels, but I heard that he has already been taken care of, I just don't know if he can hold on."

"Just do your job, I'll take care of the rest."

"Why! I can solve it, just like you said, no guns, no killing!" Robin shouted directly at this time.

"Because I said no, your task is to assist me, not to decide for yourself."

After saying that, Batman pressed a button on his utility belt, and the Batmobile parked in the dark rushed out and stopped in front of Batman. He jumped into the driver's seat, then turned his head to look at Robin, who was standing there with his arms crossed and feeling unhappy. Robin's face had been stimulated by Batman's cold attitude, but he still consciously sat in the passenger seat. The tail flame sprayed, and the Batmobile left a gust of wind on the street and drove away. In the car, watching Batman silently holding the steering wheel.

"Let me drive."

"No."

"I can drive."

"No."
