Chapter 233: The Umankan Corps adventures; Lady Silvia

In a certain area filled with a large army of Demon Alliance experts the morale was a mixture of low and fierce. Demons of various races and tribes along with demonic cultivators could be seen moving about with some arguing and fighting as others watched on. Some sat around eating and drinking in relaxation. There were those who moped around as they thought about whether they would still be alive in the coming days. Then there were those who were murderous battle junkies who awaited the command to once more charge into battle.

Toward a certain direction within the camp there was a large contingent of leader Gold tier 4 and above who were in the midst of a meeting. In this meeting there were currently 3 early staged Mortal Lord experts with one of them being the tall armored red skinned demon Cheol Hyeol Ma.

Also among their ranks was Umbrawllak who had 2 noticeably permanent wounds engraved on his body. One being a harsh scar on his chest and the other being a deep puncture on his torso. More than that there were also harsh burning scars overlapping those wounds.

Another individual in this room was the demon who lost his arm to Ramiro and whose peak Golden Lord cultivation rivaled Umbrawllak's. Both men gnashed their teeth when thinking about their situation.

"Cheol Hyeol, why exactly have you not personally stepped in to deal with that damned so-called Dragon Spear Hero?" one of the other 2 Mortal Lords asked as his gaze lingered on Cheol Hyeol Ma.

"Naturally, I have been observing them to see if any other similarly powerful experts or perhaps a Mortal Lord would come out. I suspect that there is at least one lurking among their allies from the natives for sure," Cheol Hyeol Ma said as he indifferently set his gaze on the questioning Demon Mortal Lord. "But more than that, the Dragon Spear Hero from Leon has unexpectedly revealed himself as a huge threat to me even as a Golden Lord. But there is something more important. They are related to White Star Radiance which means they are definitely related to His Majesty's target, Daoist Blue Heavens Sword."

Everyone became silent for a moment as they dwelled on this information. They had learned this already but they were uncertain how to act on it. Why would White Star Radiance be so deep into this Pocket Dimension and yet they are already confirmed to be fighting in a great battle outside of this place? Much investigating was in the works at least to the greatest extent possible given how chaotic things were.

"Putting the Dragon Spear Hero aside, there is an even more dire issue. The culprit behind the many slaughters and surprise attacks against Demon Alliance forces. The person in question is suspected to be a Mortal Lord expert, and others are doing their best to trace his movements. There are signs that the culprit among other figures was definitely in this region and may even be related to either the natives or the White Star Radiance sect in some way," the 3rd Mortal Lord spoke up with a serious expression.

"This is war after all and it's not like we do not have individuals on our side doing the exact same thing," Cheol Hyeol Ma replied indifferently.

"Regardless, it is best that everyone here has a much more heightened awareness. Especially after that incident near the beginning of the Demonic Alliance invasion into Desert Red Star… If the rumors back then were true then it is a miracle that so many have made it this far, but thankfully that entity cared very little about any of this," the 3rd Mortal Lord said with a grim expression and a hint of fear in his eyes. The other leaders in the room similarly wore grim expressions as their imaginations roamed toward that entity that caused the disaster back in the Purple Starmist Continent.

…

Back in a large building in the central area of the White Star Radiance sect's inner lands, Obioma sat down on a meditation mat with a miniature spirit-like version of herself seated atop her head with a light point toward a certain direction. The little spirit seemed to be speaking as its mouth moved. After a few minutes it began to dissipate into a ball of light as it drifted back into Obioma's body through her head. Afterwards she slowly opened her eyes after giving a slight sigh.

"Alright Lady Shia, my siblings and the others are headed in that direction now," Obioma said with a stretch.

"Excellent. Thank you for your help Obioma," Shia nodded in gratitude.

"Umm, so is Big Brother Elton still in seclusion?" Obioma asked in hesitation as she looked around the room with a slightly nervous expression.

"…Yes, he is still in seclusion for now. At most the 3 ladies Christy, Erica, and Shayleaf have only seen him on the 4th floor temple from afar." Shia paused for a moment with a strange look before smiling as she answered the question.

"Is that so… Alright, thank you Lady Shia," Obioma replied with a downcast expression.

Shia could only smile wryly as she left the room.

Obioma sat back down as she went deep into thought before a look of determination appeared on her face. "I will train and cultivate much harder so that I will not be left behind. I am Big Brother Elton's battle maid after all."

After that bout of self motivation Obioma pulled out a few resources as she closed her eyes and began to cultivate.

…

Some time later in a certain area.

The Umankan Corps had once again regathered and were swiftly moving toward a certain direction under the orders of Christy. Compared to almost a month ago the wear and tear of battle was much more obvious, but they had long been used to such a life back on that island with the Daemonorcs and the 3 sea nations. The group continued to move as they avoided as much trouble as possible.

Obinna took the lead while coordinating with Obianuju as they trekked across the lands.

"A group of 3 incoming. They appear to be demonic beasts from their auras," said a man with his Aka Boshi no Tengan activated. Beside him were 4 other experts also affiliated with the Aka Boshi no Tengan clan from Christy's Star Eyed division.

"Alright. We will try to avoid them but if they attack we will wipe them out," Obinna said with a stern expression.

As they were attempting to avoid conflict one of the demonic beasts sniffed the air and roared with a menacing light as his Gold tier 2 aura flared. The remaining 2 also roared with auras that were at the peak of Silver tier 5.

"…Looks like a fight was inevitable. Alright, 6th formation 4th attack, execute!" Obinna commanded as he grabbed his sword from his back and the others rapidly scrambled into the formation to prepare the attack. The Umankans and the Star Eyed division moved with familiarity as they each began to attack.

The demonic beasts roared refusing to be outdone as they immediately charged forward and attacked furiously. Quickly explosions and sounds of weapons ringing covered the battlefield.

After about 3 minutes everything ended as Obinna and Obianuju silenced the Gold tier demonic beast with great coordination.

"Whew! Good job everyone. Let's take a small break before continuing our journey," Obianuju said after exhaling and wiping the dust from around her twin peaks.

After a while they once more prepared to begin their journey, but Obianuju had a look of concern on her face.

"What's the matter big sis? You look a bit out of it?" Obinna could not help but ask as he watched her with concern.

Obianuju shook her head as she replied, "No, it's nothing much Binna. I'm just thinking about how we are about to cross into far more dangerous areas without more support, which made me a bit more concerned is all."

"Yeah I understand where you're coming from. Have you noticed something though? We have already quickly moved this distance and we haven't really had any real major encounters. I also get the feeling that the situation is a bit strange. This might be one of the reasons Ms. Christy took a chance and had us take this mission," Obinna speculated.

Obianuju paused in thought for a moment as her gaze looked around with interest.

"Lady Christy is a very prodigious talent of my Aka Boshi no Tengan clan. From what I know she certainly had talents to be a very capable scholar and a high level commander. Her awakening the Kokon Tengan just makes her much more farsighted!" the Aka Boshi no Tengan clansman who led his group of 4 said with an expression of reverence and confidence as he jumped into their conversation.

"…You may be right. I have seen how capable she is first hand in all sorts of ways. Alright, then let's continue on our way for now but still remain extra vigilant," Obianuju said with a renewed vigor as everyone nodded following her command.

…

A few days later reports were sent that more and more enemy experts were finding their way toward the 4 areas where the subdivision that included the Red Flounders, Serpent Sharks, Daemonorcs, and the Fishmen races were. Although it still wasn't enough of a major cause for concern it certainly made things more dangerous, especially when it came to pinpointing the White Star Radiance's inner sect location. To deal with any uncertainties groups of experts like Rudecka were dispatched to those areas as aid.

Moving toward the area where the Serpent Shark people were stationed in Magical cars of various sizes, a young girl moved with a large group of experts in a swift manner. They wore various outfits but what could mostly be noticed on their attire were symbols relating them to the Aka Boshi no Tengan clan. She, along with 3 other people, sat in the main car. Their strengths were all similarly between Gold tier 2 and Gold tier 3. The young girl herself had recently made a breakthrough to reach Gold tier 3 much to the others' astonishment given her age.

"Lady Silvia, you truly are a young prodigious talent of our clan! I'm still shocked that the Elders actually allowed you to come to this new White Star Radiance sect given your status," a woman who appeared to be in her mid 20s said with an intrigued expression.

The other 2 experts, handsome young men around their early to mid 20s who gave a somewhat noble air, nodded in agreement.

"Hmph! It's all because of that great grandfather of mine! To think he would make me come here all because of competition with Lady Christy and her bloodline!" Silvia gnashed her teeth before her expression changed a bit. "Well, I can't really be mad when I think about potentially mating with that exceptional talent Sect Master Solman… In fact, for a while now I've secretly been a fan of both he, the Dragon Spear Hero of Leon, and even that murderous Zoro Tatsumaki! Kyaaa..! Ahem. Well, like I said it's not too bad."

The other 3 looked at her with strange looks before pretending that part of what she said and her weird expressions did not just happen.

"I, Silvia Higgonbom, will do my best to establish myself outside of my branch with my abilities in battle and with picking up a handsome exceptional talent." Silvia declared with clenched fist and sparkling eyes as her Aka Boshi no Tengan subconsciously activated due to her emotions. The other 3 once again tried their best to ignore her strange expressions as they turned their heads away in discomfort.

She was currently 16, being a few years younger than Christy, but her talents proved to be nearly on par especially when it came to cultivating. Christy had an edge on her when it came to mastery of skills and analysis. The Kokon Tengan only greatly widened that gap. Secretly the higher ups in the Aka Boshi no Tengan clan had faith and expectations that another such miracle could appear with her or perhaps other young talents that were sent to the White Star Radiance sect if they became close enough to Elton and Christy.
