Chapter 230 - Chapter 224: Beginning of the Demon Invasion 2

Chapter 224: Beginning of the Demon Invasion 2

As silence pervaded the room a blue ghostly light in the form of a man stood there with a blank expression. He was none other than the entity that appeared before the Bright Brilliant Blade sect master along with the other experts.

After a moment of silence the entity finally spoke. "I can feel Master's presence on you even if it's not nearly as much as that other man. Also, I do not recall ever being a Vice Sect Master."

The man sitting in his chair grunted slightly as a bitter expression appeared on his face. A tinge of sadness could be seen in his expression. "As I suspected, you've also fallen but for you to be in this form I'm not sure how I should feel. In any case what master are you referring to? In the end my Blue Mountain Star Clan was merely a vassal of the Blue Star sect. Not to mention we've been cut off from the real world for too long."

Silence once again covered the room. After a moment of time the blue spirit apparition suddenly shook its head with a sigh before a determined expression appeared on its face. "This mountain is related to Master and perhaps another comrade in some way. Although I can't remember anything about being a Vice Sect Master or your clan being a vassal of the sect I will aid you this time by taking this place out of here if you are willing."

The man trembled in faint excitement as his stiffened body sitting in the chair continued to bow in thanks. "Yes yes! As per the prophecy decreed by a fallen elder of the clan over eight centuries ago we will accept your arrangements!"

"Alright then. Prepare yourself." the entity said with a nod before taking on a serious expression.

—Chaos Convergence—

A wave of light erupted from the entity swallowing the room whole. The light traveled at a ridiculous speed as it began piercing through every obstacle and appearing throughout the top half of the mountain. Very little time had passed since the entity had intruded upon the mountain so the demon alliance and the people of the Blue Mountain Star clan were still in a state of shock.

"What's that?!" shouted a demon in horror.

"Was that a powerful expert?! But such a vast amount of power in this place shouldn't be possible!" yelled a demonic cultivator in disbelief.

"Or maybe they are under attack by a powerful foe and are now forced to use their most powerful trump card?" speculated another.

On top of the mountain everyone was also just as uncertain as the leading figures of the clan were questioned. The weaker individuals panicked while the strong ones looked toward the top leading figures such as the clan leader. The clan leader and the others could only do their best to calm the situation as they were suddenly being swallowed by an intense light.

"Patriarch!!? What is happening?" the clan leader put on a heroic front while shouting in horror.

More than one third of the mountain was covered in a giant ball of light filled with incredible mist. It was at that moment that the lands shook tremendously. It was so terrible that it could be felt a vast distance away. Faint shattering sounds could be heard as a dominantly blue rainbow colored light shined and spread into the distance.

And then a huge glass shattering sound was heard as if something collapsed. In the blink of an eye the entire bottom half of the mountain exploded along with the skies and lands far into the distance. The demon alliance experts were knocked away as they scattered with many injured and many dead. Those that were at a safe enough distance looked on with horrified faces before opening their eyes wide with shock.

"Wh-what happened to the top half of the mountain?!! Where did those guys go?" the grizzled man shouted as he trembled with many injuries plaguing his body.

"Who cares about them!! Look!" another demon cut him off without a care before pointing at what was initially a giant void after collapse.

As the giant passage began to stabilize another land could be seen on the other side. Or to be more precise, four different spots of open land could be seen.

"The time has come! Spread the word by any means possible. We will crush everything in that place and find that so called Daoist Blue Heavens Sword!" a demon leader ordered as his grim face became a bloody smile.

"Hoooooooo!" loud cheers spread dramatically through all present as they marched forth smashing through the void to begin the invasion without a care about what had just been done.

…

At the same time, in the Southern Central region of Desert Red Star, four giant passages swiftly cracked open across the land. One of them completely dwarfed the others in size. That colossal void passage appeared, ironically enough, at a location where three of the twenty massive sectioned lands on the region connected. One of those lands extended into Duskharrow and partly into the Southwestern Region of the continent. Most notably, the mighty Cherub Nation — known for its innate hatred of all demons — was not far from that place.

Through one of the void passages, a brilliant light burst forward, flashing through the skies above the 'Old Blue Star Sects Grave' lands not far from the White Star Radiance allied territory and the Star Dimming Alliance's territory. Both sides had already been on alert for days, waiting for signs of a spatial breach. Defensive formations and military lines had been established, but what they hadn't expected was the massive sphere of light that tore through the void passage and hovered in the air, radiating energy.

Urgent alarms spread through the region as news of the breach traveled fast. Multiple factions across the Southern Central reacted instantly. The long-awaited invasion had begun.

Aeloria, acting as commander of the White Star Radiance's outer sect defenses, immediately issued orders to their alliance. Her voice carried across hundreds of miles through spiritual transmission as the allied forces launched their counterattacks. The war had officially started.

…

Earlier, when the lands first began to quake and that far-reaching light had appeared within the Pocket Dimension, seemingly all who lived there felt it. The tremors came with an overwhelming pressure — one so sharp and alien that it silenced all war efforts temporarily For less than a second, every creature felt an aura upon them before the sensation vanished entirely. Panic followed in its wake. Battles across the realm ground to a halt as both natives and Pocket Dimension invaders stopped to stare at the light in terror.

Soon after, word spread like wildfire: gateways into what the inhabitants called the "Red Star Outer World" had opened. For the natives of the Pocket Dimension, it was a chance for freedom — a way to escape their sealed world. For the demons and demonic cultivators, it was the long-awaited moment of conquest. Without hesitation, countless armies marched toward the newly formed fractures leading to the Southern Central region of Desert Red Star.

…

Ramiro and his Lion's Spearhearts division stood frozen as they felt the distant quake and saw the radiant explosion in the sky.

"What the heck was that?!" Princess Helga shouted in alarm, her face pale.

"The hell if I know!" Ramiro replied, wide-eyed and trembling faintly. "That was kinda scary."

"We have to be careful from here on out. With the way things are going, it's likely to get extremely chaotic. I think whatever that was… it marked the beginning of the invasion," Seralily said seriously.

"I agree," Sofia added with concern. "Should we move in that direction?"

"No," Ramiro said, his grin returning as his spear hummed with power. "Our main goal is still the same — cut down anyone who dares to target our sect."

"We'll do as you say, Rami Rey!" Isabella and Gabriella shouted in unison as the others nodded and readied themselves for battle.

…

Elsewhere, Zoro stood still, his sharp eyes locked on the direction of the blinding light. The sensation of the energy that came from it lingered in his chest like an echo.

"…There's no way whatever that was has anything to do with him… right?" he muttered to himself.

"What do you mean, Aniki? Has something else come to mind?" Kuroha asked quietly, her eyes filled with concern. "Certainly the invasion has started."

Zoro didn't answer. He simply shook his head, his robes fluttering as he began walking toward the heart of the chaos. Kuroha and several Black Reaper Corps members followed silently. Even the Aka Boshi no Tengan expert who traveled with them hesitated for a moment before following. He could not bring himself to turn back.

…

Compared to the chaos tearing across the Pocket Dimension, the White Star Radiance's inner sect lands remained utterly calm. No one there noticed what had happened. The air was still, the energy serene.

No one — except for one being.

Sitting cross-legged atop the Treasured Orb was the Guardian Spirit of the Mobion Cougar Clan, watching over the miniature reflection of the sect within. His eyes suddenly snapped open, glowing with surprise.

He looked downward toward Elton, who sat in meditation beside the Treasured Orb, Ki flowing steadily through his body.

The Guardian Spirit smirked faintly and muttered, "Now that's an aura I thought long dead in this world. Hehehe… I stand corrected. His true self may be gone, but that special Nascent Soul roaming around means that man still had a hand in this. In this world, only those beyond Late Stage Eminence can create Nascent Souls. Interesting…"

With that, the Guardian Spirit closed its eyes again and resumed its meditative state. Elton continued his deep concentration, unaware of the storm that was now coming for the world beyond.
