"Well, this is the place where you'll stay before everything that's going to happen next begins," said Tokikami.
"Hey, wait—what's going on?" asked Ocho.
"The thing is, the boss has been seeking death so desperately that he hasn't found it, so now he wants to find someone to kill him," said Tokikami.
"That's why you're down here. This is a place where everyone will fight to the death, and the five who survive will have to face the boss," said Tokikami.
"Personally, I don't like doing this, and I've told the boss to stop thinking about it, but he won't. He just wants to find that one person who can kill him," said Tokikami.
"Just stay alive, okay," said Tokikami before leaving.
After Sifon and Ocho entered, the quota of 500 people was finally reached. Then the doors were locked with emergency locks, and everyone is trapped right there.
Just then, a small window opened, and several wealthy people could be seen sitting there, watching to see what would happen, as well as placing bets on which of the fighters would win.
"What's going on?" asked Ocho.
"What's happening is that since the boss wants to die too, he's taking advantage of the bigwigs being here to keep them entertained with something," said Sifon.
"Plus, if they're going to bet, the money they win should increase for every minute a person remains alive," said Sifon.
"So for the winners, this must be a massive multiplication of money. That means we've become betting horses for them," said Sifon.
When everything is locked down, emergency alarms go off, and everything shuts down and goes dark—but it's only lit by the alarms, with almost everything looking red in some parts.
Here the fight begins, just as a TV screen displays the ID tags assigned to each participant. This is because, before entering, they were given IDs when their photos were taken.
Eight and Five realized this, but now they just have to survive whatever comes next. Suddenly, everyone starts fighting and killing each other, and you can barely see anything.
Three people die right at the start, and the TV screen shows that 497 people remain, and those who bet on them have won a bonus of 300,000 yen.
Sifon realizes that for every minute that passes, there's a bonus attached to each person's value, so their heads are worth a lot—not that much now, but they will be worth a lot later.
Eight is soon attacked from behind, but he dodges and then strikes the man in the windpipe, leaving him unable to breathe for a few moments. The man who fell tries to get up, but just then another man arrives and shoots him in the head with a pistol.
The man stares intently at Ocho and then shoots at him, but Ocho dodges the bullet and stabs him in the abdomen with a knife, then slashes his stomach before dragging the knife up to his neck.
The man falls dead to the ground, then another man enters and almost hits Ocho in the head with a pipe, but Ocho dodges it; the man's head explodes from a shotgun blast.
It was the same man who had the shotgun, but he too is shot in the head and falls to the ground. Then the man who killed him quickly realizes there was someone else right next to him, and that guy kills him too.
Of all those already involved in these savage battles, a total of 50 people have died, leaving a total of 447 people remaining.
Because the time of death for each person was different, there was a bounty of 500,000 yen, 700,000 yen, 800,000 yen, and 850,000 yen for some; thus, some had just died, and others died one more time after the second-to-last person before the very last one.
At one point, Siphon realized he was surrounded by a group of them, but Siphon managed to dodge each one with ease and then killed them by shooting them with the gun he pulled from his pocket.
Many people continue to fight, and many are killing each other savagely; one of them kills a guy with his fists, landing several blows to the head, but then he also dies after being stabbed in the chest with a knife by someone.
Another man, who was firing a submachine gun, was killing others or wounding them, but he was killed by someone behind him who stabbed him with a chainsaw.
But one guy stands out from the whole group: he has brown hair and something covering part of his right eye; he's sitting on the ground, just watching. A man behind him quickly approaches with a crazed look on his face.
The boy easily dodges him by jumping on top of him and kneeing him squarely in the chin, then smashes his skull with a bat (there was a bat on the ground and the boy grabbed it). After that, the boy just looks at Sifon and smiles.
He approaches Sifon and tries to strike him, but Sifon dodges the blow. The boy just smiles, then walks away from Sifon and kills another person who tried to attack him. Sifon just watches, wondering how strange this boy is.
120 people have already died, and 327 remain; two full hours have passed. The bounty for some is 900,000 yen, 1,000,000 yen, 1,000,500 yen, and 1,125,000 yen.
There's just one left—a burly man is attacking more people and crushing them with his brute strength, and another man wearing gloves hits a guy and then thrusts his finger down his throat, piercing it and killing him.
Ocho encounters the burly man, who tries to attack him, but Ocho dodges and grabs his arm, then trips him and flips him over, causing him to fall face-first onto the ground; then Ocho smashes his head against the floor.
The burly man gets up in a rage and lunges at Ocho, grabbing his body, lifting him up, and trying to slam him into the ground. Ocho manages to break free from the burly man's grip and steadies himself, regaining his balance a bit.
The burly man tries to land a hard punch to Ocho's face, but Ocho doesn't flinch; he just waits, catches the man's fist, pulls it close, and, with the man right in front of him, delivers an elbow strike. The burly man falls to his knees and bleeds from the nose from the elbow Ocho landed on him.
Ocho points the gun at him, but just then the boy from earlier—the one who fought with Sifon—arrives. He almost elbows Ocho, but Ocho activates his ability and manages to dodge the boy. Ocho realizes something: that this boy isn't normal.
Just seeing how he approached without being noticed said a lot. The boy turns around and sees the burly man; he punches him in the face, leaving him dazed, and is about to finish him off with a kick, but just then the burly man suddenly gets up and grabs him by the leg, lifts him up, and throws him backward, but the guy does a somersault in midair to regain his balance.
Meanwhile, Sifon just kept killing everyone who stood in his way using only his gun, but he ran out of bullets. So he was about to grab some from the ground when the man with the gun stood up.
He grabs Sifon's arm, pulls out a knife, and swings it up and down quickly to kill Sifon, but Sifon grabs his arm with his other hand, easily breaks his wrist, and the man drops the knife. Sifon grabs it and stabs him in the neck, then just checks to see how good the gun is.
It was an AK-47 with a few bullets left, and Sifon tests his aim with the weapon, hitting several targets and easily taking out 25. Sifon inspects the gun further. "Hmf… well, this gun's in good shape." Sifon moves forward a little more.
120 people have already died; 207 remain. Three more hours have passed, and the bonus prizes from the men's bets come in: 1,420,300 yen, 1,750,000 yen, 2,000,000 yen, 2,150,500 yen—the money from the kills pays out much more.
Ocho watches as the boy and the burly man fight, but the boy is good at counterattacking the man. Then the man manages to land a blow to the boy's face, but the boy blocks it with his forearm.
The boy steps back but takes up a stance, then concentrates, and Ocho realizes that the boy also possesses the ability of blood fusion; just by sensing it, he knows it's a bad idea to get any closer.
But the burly man goes after him; out of nowhere, the boy manages to anticipate where the man was going since he was close by and lands three strikes: a kick to the chin, a punch to the chest, and a heel kick to the face.
The boy, now in position, begins to jump continuously while assuming a boxing stance. The burly man feels insulted and, enraged, lunges at him, but the boy steps forward and delivers a knee strike to his face. The burly man staggers backward and spits blood; the boy doesn't stop and delivers an elbow strike to his abdomen.
The burly man struggles to breathe but tries to get up; however, the boy grabs him by the shoulder and punches him in the face repeatedly, over and over. With each blow, the boy can be seen smiling as the man's blood drips and splatters onto his face.
"That boy will be a prodigy in this art of blood fusion," thought Eight.
"No, don't doubt yourself now," thought Eight.
But as Ocho takes a few steps forward, the boy approaches, spots him, and moves in front of him. Ocho dodges by activating his ability, barely managing to avoid the blow, which only grazes his cheek. The boy then knees Ocho in the stomach. Ocho spits out saliva and sees only the boy smiling
