Chapter 327 - Chapter 327: The Battle of Wakanda (2)

Yondu burst into laughter.

"Of course I made it. My son is fighting here. How could I possibly be late?"

As he spoke, his gaze shifted toward Thanos in the distance.

"Hey! Looks like we're doing this again. A battle between fathers.

"But it's a shame. You're not even a qualified father.

"And I'm sorry to say this, but I completely outclass you in that department."

Yondu grinned smugly.

Thanos' expression immediately darkened.

Yondu's words reminded him of Gamora.

To fulfill his dream, he had personally sacrificed his beloved daughter, casting her into the abyss in exchange for the Soul Stone.

Although he had made that choice with his own hands, it could not erase the sorrow buried deep within his heart.

In his eyes, his dream outweighed everything else.

Changing the universe was the purpose that stood above all.

For that dream, he was willing to pay any price.

Even the life of the daughter he loved.

Yet despite everything, Yondu's taunt still struck a wound he could never truly hide.

The grief he had buried surfaced once again.

Even so, Thanos said nothing.

His eyes remained fixed on Nolan.

To him, there was only one person on Earth worthy of being called his opponent.

Nolan.

As for everyone else...

He didn't consider them worth his attention.

His army alone would crush them all.

That was the confidence buried deep within his heart.

So Yondu's provocation meant nothing.

He would never allow emotions to cloud his judgment at a moment like this.

Yondu clicked his tongue in disappointment.

Although he felt like he had won that exchange, Thanos simply ignored him.

Still, there was no point dwelling on it.

This wasn't the time to fight Thanos himself.

Their first objective was the Titan's army.

If they couldn't destroy that army first, defeating Thanos would be impossible.

Yondu immediately roared,

"Charge!

"Wipe out every last one of Thanos' soldiers!

"This is the justice of the Ravagers!

"This is the Ravagers' victory!"

Many members of the allied space fleet who weren't Ravagers looked visibly dissatisfied.

Unfortunately, Yondu was the commander of the fleet.

As long as they defeated Thanos, they could tolerate his dramatic speeches.

Of course...

If they failed...

Before they died, they'd make sure Yondu regretted saying those words.

With reinforcements arriving from every direction, the battlefield exploded into motion.

Thor swung Stormbreaker.

Lightning erupted across the battlefield.

With a single leap, thunder annihilated every enemy within hundreds of meters.

His overwhelming power became one of the battlefield's most terrifying sights.

Yet compared to him, Captain Marvel was no less formidable.

Her attacks weren't as visually spectacular as Thor's lightning.

But in terms of pure destructive force...

She was arguably even stronger.

As the battle raged...

Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian, and the mysterious third warrior exchanged glances.

It was their turn.

Without hesitation, Cull Obsidian gripped his massive axe and strode onto the battlefield.

His eyes locked onto Thor.

Then he exploded forward.

With one tremendous leap, he charged straight at the God of Thunder.

His monstrous strength combined with terrifying speed, turning him into a living battering ram.

Thor was focused on fighting the alien horde and failed to notice the attack until the axe was already upon him.

He instinctively raised Stormbreaker.

Boom!

The two colossal axes collided.

The impact unleashed an earth-shaking shockwave.

Everything within dozens of meters was blown away.

Thor himself was hurled backward before crashing violently into the ground.

Cull Obsidian's raw strength was simply overwhelming.

Even Thor couldn't match it head-on.

Thor's face darkened.

"You damn bastard..."

He never imagined that the strength he had always taken pride in...

Even after awakening his divine power twice...

Would still fall short against one of Thanos' generals.

Of course, brute force wasn't his greatest weapon.

Lightning was.

But the result still left him furious.

If defeating one of Thanos' subordinates was already this difficult...

How could he hope to defeat Thanos himself?

Thinking of that, Thor roared.

He gripped Stormbreaker tightly and charged once more.

"Die!"

Lightning wrapped around the axe as a raging storm erupted.

Stormbreaker crashed down with unstoppable force.

Even Cull Obsidian couldn't withstand the full force of that blow.

His enormous body slammed to one knee.

The ground shattered beneath him, leaving behind a massive crater.

"That's payback!"

Thor grinned.

But...

Only moments later...

Cull Obsidian slowly stood back up against the crushing pressure.

His greatest weapon was absolute strength.

Even Thanos himself would never claim he could overpower Cull Obsidian through brute force alone.

Much less Thor.

Feeling Stormbreaker being forced upward...

Thor's expression changed dramatically.

"Damn it!"

He cursed.

There was nothing else he could do.

Fortunately...

A figure suddenly rushed over.

Bruce Banner.

Having witnessed the exchange, Bruce knew even Thor couldn't overpower Cull Obsidian.

There was no time to think.

He charged forward and threw a devastating punch.

Boom!

Cull Obsidian was blasted backward.

Watching the giant begin to rise again...

Both Thor and Bruce wore grim expressions.

And Cull Obsidian wasn't the only threat.

Proxima Midnight had entered the battlefield as well.

Captain Marvel curled her lip.

She flew directly toward Proxima.

Moments earlier, Tony Stark and several others had tried to stop her.

They had been defeated almost immediately.

Among everyone present...

Only Captain Marvel...

And perhaps Nolan...

Could truly fight her.

To Captain Marvel, however...

Whether Nolan existed or not made no difference.

Proxima Midnight had just sent Groot flying when she sensed an overwhelming presence closing in.

She instantly twisted aside.

Captain Marvel slammed into the ground where she had been standing moments earlier.

Standing upright, Carol stared coldly at her.

Cold sweat formed on Proxima Midnight's forehead.

What is this?

How could this woman be so powerful?

She had only narrowly escaped.

Just a fraction slower...

And she would already be dead.

Aside from her master...

She had never encountered anyone in the universe with such terrifying strength.

Nolan was one exception.

But she had always believed he was a unique anomaly.

Now another had appeared.

Taking a deep breath, she tightened her grip on her weapon and lowered her stance.

No matter how strong her opponent was...

She didn't believe victory was impossible.

Power alone didn't determine the outcome of battle.

Skill mattered just as much.

As one of the Black Order, she possessed countless years of combat experience.

Unfortunately...

Confidence alone wasn't enough.

The moment Captain Marvel attacked again...

Proxima immediately experienced what absolute suppression truly felt like.

She unleashed every technique she possessed.

It made no difference.

Within moments...

Her body felt as though every bone had been shattered.

"So that's all you've got?"

Captain Marvel sneered.

"Too weak."

Then her eyes shifted toward Thanos.

There was no point wasting time on subordinates.

The fastest way to end this war...

Was to defeat the king himself.

Without hesitation...

She shot toward Thanos like a comet.

As long as Thanos fell...

His army would lose all meaning.

But...

She overlooked one person.

The third member of the Black Order.

Just as Captain Marvel closed in on Thanos...

A figure intercepted her.

Bang!

A heavy punch struck her squarely, sending her flying.

The man landed calmly.

"So that's all you've got?

"Too weak."

Captain Marvel's face immediately darkened.

No one had ever mocked her like this before.

Not once.

"You think that's strength?

"I'll show you what real power looks like."

Space Stone energy erupted from her body.

Her golden hair floated upward.

Blinding light enveloped her entire figure.

Then she exploded forward.

In her eyes, no one could possibly withstand this attack.

Yet...

The outcome surprised her.

Just before her power reached him...

She felt an invisible force absorb and disperse the energy.

By the time her fist connected...

Its destructive force had already been weakened considerably.

A cold smile appeared on the man's lips.

"Remember my name."

"Deathstar."

His fist struck again.

Captain Marvel was sent flying once more.

This time...

He didn't remain where he was.

He immediately pursued her.

He intended to defeat her in a direct confrontation.

In the distance...

Although Nolan had yet to move, he witnessed everything.

He was genuinely surprised.

He didn't know who this newcomer was.

But he hadn't expected anyone capable of confronting Captain Marvel head-on.

After all...

Captain Marvel wielded the power of the Space Stone.

Its energy was virtually limitless.

While her personal output had its limits...

There were still very few beings in the universe capable of matching her.

Just where had Thanos found this new member of the Black Order?

Still...

It didn't matter.

No matter how dissatisfied Nolan was with Carol...

He had never doubted her strength.

Aside from himself...

There were almost no beings in the universe capable of defeating Captain Marvel.

Someone serving under Thanos certainly wasn't one of them.

Whatever strange ability Deathstar possessed...

He was destined to lose.

Just as Nolan expected...

Captain Marvel quickly discovered the secret.

Every time her energy approached him...

A mysterious field dispersed and weakened it.

That was why she couldn't unleash her full strength.

Now that she understood the mechanism...

Defeating him would only be a matter of time.

Across the battlefield...

Thanks to Nolan's mechanical army...

The tide of war was steadily shifting in Earth's favor.

While fighting, Doctor Strange noticed the situation and finally breathed a small sigh of relief.

Nolan had been right.

This battle was already unfolding far better than the future he had witnessed.

Perhaps...

Their losses wouldn't be nearly as devastating this time.

But at that moment...

Thanos moved.

Step by step...

He walked calmly onto the battlefield.

Unhurried.

Unfazed.

As though none of the countless powerful warriors before him deserved his attention.

In his hand rested the Tyrant Slayer Blade.

An overwhelming aura erupted from his body.

Before he even attacked...

The immense pressure alone weighed heavily upon everyone present.

At the same time...

Within the Dimensional Rift...

Dormammu extended his gaze from the Dark Dimension.

"Something has happened on Earth."

His deep voice echoed through the void.

Another voice answered.

"So this is the war...

"It is even more intense than we imagined.

"The energy alone...

"Has already reached this place."

Dormammu's eyes gleamed.

He slowly surveyed the surrounding dimensional lords.

"This is our greatest opportunity.

"Are you all truly going to keep waiting?

"If we miss this chance...

"We may never see another like it."

He wanted to invade.

But not alone.

Even during Earth's greatest crisis, he knew invading it would not be easy.

Soon...

A figure stepped out from another dimension.

"Then..."

"Let the war begin!"
